Well, this was different. But in an okay kind of way. I’ll start by listing the authors/characters that are my favorite. Jack Carr/James Reece, Ben Coes/Dewey Andreas, Tom Wood/Victor, David Baldacci/Will Robie. I’ve started perhaps a dozen other “character series” and in most cases haven’t made it through 5 chapters before bailing out. This was a long listen, but I really liked the main character, Richard Fuller. I like knowing a characters thought process and why they do what they do. Be it from a tactical vantage or just why those chose a particular weapon on style of shoe.. this book does that. The only stumbling block for me is the narrator’s accent. It wasn’t enough to make me bail on the book, but enough that it took a few minutes each listen to get used to it. All in all, a good series. I’m off to the next book in this series!
