      Sun Kissed is the first book I have read from Catherine Anderson. I agree with jacketscoversread, it doesn't matter if you haven't read the previous books in the Kendrick/Coutler/Harrigan series to enjoy the book. I enjoyed the story and look forward to reading the other books in the series.

      One of my favorite things about this novel is its incorporation of horses. I used to take riding lessons and Samantha’s love for horses was something I could completely relate to. The horses were the theme throughout the book.I wouldn’t call the book suspense novel as it didn’t have the same pace of a suspense book, but the storyline of what was happening with Sam’s horses was full of twists and turns.Sun Kissed also had good content about families sticking together for good reasons.It’s a quick read but one I enjoyed immensely and even though this book is number seven in the Kendrick/Coutler/Harrigan series, it didn’t matter that I’ve never read another one of Anderson’s books.
