About this audiobook

With no help in sight, could you make the hard choices?

After risking everything, Grant and Leah Walton are finally reunited. But it's no happy ending. As the reality of the situation dawns on their neighbors, the Waltons find themselves the subject of more than idle curiosity.

Not everyone can be trusted.

People they counted as friends now look at them with suspicion and fear. Faced with neighbors determined to take all they have, Grant and Leah prepare to leave. But strangers have other plans.

If someone threatens all that you hold dear, could you fight back?

In a world without enforcement, rules mean nothing. When a band of thieves turn a neighborhood disagreement into an all-out war, Grant and Leah must find the strength to not only fight, but survive. Not everyone will make it.

The attack is only the beginning.

I really wanted to like it. I really did. BUT! Every decision made/not made by the “leading lady” was really driving me nuts. Like, girl, did the radiation burn all the common sense out of you??

Pollyanna and her beta male fight the bad guys, while she constantly whines on about medical consequences of actions. I can see why they're disliked.

The bad part is that I started listening to this audiobook before I realized it was book 3. Now I’m not sure if I’ll be interested in book one and two. However, the good part is that although it was book three when I realized, it was so good I couldn’t stop listening to it in order to wait on books one and two. Somehow I think I’ll enjoy one and two...I hope so anyways. Loved the book!
