About this audiobook
The remarkable truth about angels, the agents of Heaven, unveiled through Scripture. For centuries, people have been fascinated by stories of angel sightings, yet many contemporary beliefs about them are based on misconception and myth rather than solid, biblical truth. Responding to our modern cultural interest in angels, popular Bible teacher Dr. David Jeremiah provides an in-depth, biblical look at these agents of Heaven and their role in our world and our lives. What are angels? What is their role in God's plan? Are they present? Do they appear? Do they give us personal insight about our work and our worship? In this broad and thorough survey of Scripture, Dr. Jeremiah clearly and simply separates fact from fiction as it relates to angels. His enlightening findings are supported with illustrations and insights from prominent teachers, such as Billy Graham, Corrie ten Boom, C. S. Lewis, and more.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Interesting book on a seldom explored topic. Appreciated the research and work put into it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Over the years much has been written about angels. Unfortunately so much of it is rather far-fetched and just not reliable. I found this book to be very informative, but most importantly Scripture is the foundation used throughout. An interesting aspect explained is that we should not assume angels would serve or help non-Christians. The Bible describes angels as “ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.”Dr. Jeremiah certainly provides interesting insights on angels, and at the same time this well written book will inspire you. The Bible contains more than 300 direct references to angels, and you’ll soon realize there is more to angels than you could ever imagine.Topics I found interesting –• We should never worship angels.• Angels are warriors for God.• God sends his angels to deliver and protect his people.• Angels are great comforters.• Angels are messengers.• Gender of angels is always masculine.• Angels do not earn their wings.• Angels are created beings – God made angels.• Angels are innumerable, far more that we could count.• Angels will be with us at the time of our death – escorting us to our final destination.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Through out the pages of this book Dr. David Jeremiah leads readers on an in depth conversation about what the Bible provides on the topic of angels. There is a what, when, why and often how about angels and included is a scriptural index that makes your own referencing much less complicated.I have always had a personal belief in angels, but not put much thought to it. There are some people who have become fascinated with the angelic beings and it is interested how Dr. Jeremiah puts this into perspective. The book is a little hard to chew, meaning that you can really only absorb bits of it at a time. Yet after mulling through the details the educational value is high and it really drives you back to scripture.I admit I enjoy their choice of font for the book as well.*Thanks to Waterbrook Multnomah for providing a copy for review.*
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Dr. David Jeremiah has always been one of my favorite speakers/authors. When I saw that I had the chance to review this book by this great person, I jumped on it. And in the end, I wasn't disappointed. However, there was one draw back. I had to read through it twice. I had to read through it twice, because the first time, for some unknown reason(maybe because I have read so much fiction and this was a non-fiction title), it didn't capture me like I thought it would, being a book written by Dr. Jeremiah. Upon reading it the second time, though, I was able to be captured by this great book of Angels. Dr. Jeremiah did a wonderful job of truly drawing out the differences in Angels of the Biblical speaking and Angels as we let ourselves believe them to be. Dr. Jeremiah forms this book into not only a reading book, but a teaching book, making it easy to understand the differences. The use of scripture as examples of Angels in the Biblical speaking as well as drawing on the insight of other speakers and teachers was outstanding. This is a book that I would recommend to everyone, especially if you question the Angels. Dr. Jeremiah will answer your questions through this book, much like that of a Bible study. I have to give this book 4 stars for a job well done by one of my favorite people. *This book was provided for review by the WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group.*
