About this audiobook

The Little Prince was published in 1943 by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It is a poetic tale, in which a pilot strands in the desert and meets a young prince fallen to Earth from a tiny asteroid. The story is philosophical and includes social criticism, remarking on the strangeness of the adult world. While it looks like a children's book, it targets adult relationships with deep thoughts on how adults perceive life and each other. "Children should show great understanding towards grown-ups". Get ready for a trip to see the world differently and learn what is really important.

The Little Prince is one of the most-translated books in the world and was voted the best book of the 20th century in France. Translated into 300 languages and dialects (as well as Braille), selling nearly two million copies annually with sales totaling over 140 million copies worldwide, it has become one of the best-selling books ever published.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Antoine De Saint Exupéry, born in Lyon 29 June 1900, was a French writer and aviator. He is best remembered for his novella The Little Prince, and for his books about aviation adventures, including Night Flight (1931) and Wind, Sand and Stars (1939). In 1921 he began his military service and trained as a pilot. He became one of the pioneers of international postal flight. At the outbreak of the Second World War he joined the French Air Force flying reconnaissance missions until the armistice with Germany. Following a spell writing in the United States, he joined the Free French Forces. He went on a mission to collect information on German troop movements in the Rhone valley on 31 July 1944 and was never seen again. His plane disappeared. It was assumed that he was shot down over the Mediterranean. An unidentifiable body wearing French colours was found several days later and buried in Carqueiranne that September.

Brilliant story...the end of each chapter was clipped so wasn't a very good recording.

I loved the voice of the narrator, but the last 1-3 words was cut off at the end of each chapter, which was sad.

The one star is for this audiobook not the book! The book is five stars. This audiobook is 0 stars. The quality is horrible and sounds like they’re recording it on an iPhone and the narrator isn’t clear and each chapter ends abruptly. I do not recommend listening to this book read instead or listen to it on YouTube

The book itself is great. The narrator keeps bumping his mic and stumbling over words.

Not the best narration, ends abruptly when chapter ends. I didn't know if it was the cut off or what

This is like eating an exquisite dessert. It is a story filled to the brim with wisdom, insight and joy. This book changed my ideas of what it means to grow up. It reminded me of the value of simple pleasures and of the gifts of Love and relationship that are all around us just waiting to be experienced and savored each and every day.

I love this book! The reader gets cut off a lot at the last word(s) of the chapter. And the end seems more like a suicide then a return home. But still a very lovely story and so very charming. The eyes of a child viewing adults is enlightening
