About this audiobook

Good Morning, Malibu. It's another beautiful day on the west coast! I'm Noely Clark, your host. And I'm in the market for love.

This is a modern day take on You've Got Mail with a twist. This laugh-out-loud and heartwarming romantic comedy from best-selling author Meghan Quinn will keep you on the edge of your seat as you fall in love with each and every blind date.

When the publicity team of the new local restaurant Going in Blind begins their search for a hot, local celebrity to promote the wildly popular eatery, they couldn't have found a better person than me. Outgoing? Check. Single? Check. Open to finding love? Check. I signed up immediately. A hopeless romantic with an exceedingly demanding schedule, I've found it impossible to find the man of my dreams so Going in Blind seemed too good to be true! That's until they start setting me up on dates - three very different, very attractive, very distinct blind dates - and only one thing is for certain: I'm in big trouble.

Good Morning, Malibu. I'm Noely Clark, and I have a choice to make. The question is who will I choose: the suit, the rebel, or the jock.

This audiobook is narrated by Ava Erickson with a special appearance by Aiden Snow.

I listened to the audio version and really enjoyed the narrators.
I wanted to enjoy the story more then I did. I enjoyed the plot, I’m a sucker for “you’ve got mail” and even though it was familiar it was still cute. What I didn’t really love was the characters. So be clear it was Noelly and her friend I didn’t care for. I actually liked all of the guys she dated. Jack was my favorite in terms of chemistry and connection to Noelly. My issue was with the immaturity level. It was lacking in so many places. I can’t even tell you how many times the main character herself said she new she was acting immature. For example when Jake breaks things off with her. How was that not a surprise. He told her right from the start he was very private. You could tell this was a big concern for him with her being on a tv show. Yet she goes onto her show and says his name anyway. Then he breaks it off and she acts like a child over it. Like he was the a-hole. Granted he didn’t approach it right but she was the one in the wrong in the first place.
Then there’s Noelly’s friend and co-worker. A GROWN WOMAN WITH CHILDREN. Who referred to having sex as “did you v touch his p? Tell me there was v and o action.” Are we in middle school? Those 2 characters together were the absolute worst.
Geez the more and more I write this review the more I want to lower my stars ?
The saving grace for this book was Jake. He was a Romantic. He was the draw. The rest felt like white, rather immature noise.

Ava Erickson narrated 99.9% of the audiobook. Aiden Snow made a very brief appearance. I would have given it 5 stars instead of 2 if he had narrated the book with her.

This is the first book for me by this author and I loved it, it's sexy and funny and very relatable.
Noelly is just a brilliant character, she is sexy and sassy and totally relatable with her self doubt and inner monologues while looking for love.
Her brother and sister in-low were helarious, laughed so hard at their antics, just loved it.
Now, regarding the men, sadly found Jack a bit pompous to start with, I like my men self assured but he came across a bit too full of himself, though he redeemed himself. Beck was just yummy, sexy to-die for and I'm glad there is a book for him as found him very intriguing (though from what he indicated to Noelly it quite obvious what was his mistake!). Lastly is Hayden, also lovely and would love to know about his time with the girl who stole his heart.
Excellent book, couldn't ask for a better listen.

This was rooooough. I had to skip a whole bunch of the repetitive fan girling about the movie bit. It was uncomfortable cringe and this book used it as a huge crutch which was just awful.

I haven’t heard aiden speak once yet, I’m on chapter 32 and nothing. The female narrator is doing a good job though with varying the characters so not a huge issue, but I definitely picked this up to hear aiden. It’s actually more jarring to hear a female narrator do a man’s voice 98% the whole story and then someone wildly different might pop in at the end.

Overall the story is ok. It has cute moments, the spice I would rate as 3 green bell peppers. Totally vanilla, few and far between scenes but good enough for this book.

Meghan definitely has better books that I love, this one just isn’t for me. Go check out “a not so meet cute”.

I would have enjoyed it more without food- & body-shaming commentary. Main character is not ’a girls girl’ and it shows in a way the book judges other women. Many tiny remarks what it is to be ”right kind of..” something.

Overall, very old-school romance book with potentially entertaining setting.

The ONLY thing wrong with this book is that I wish there was more of Aiden in it... he only read about 15 minutes at the end ☹️
