About this audiobook
Now that she's an official vampire and full-fledged member of The Blood Coven, Rayne assumes her vampire slaying days are over. Sure, she doesn't have any vampire powers, thanks to a mutated blood virus, but she and Jareth can go out in the sun, which is a pretty good trade-off.
But just when Rayne's starting to enjoy her afterlife, she's contacted by Slayer Inc once again. It seems that a member of her high school's football team has disappeared-and the powers-that-be think the cheerleaders had something to do with it.
Now Rayne has to infiltrate the squad before the cheerleaders have a chance to sink their teeth into someone else . . .

Mari Mancusi always wanted a dragon as a pet. Unfortunately the fire insurance premiums proved a bit too large and her house a bit too small—so she chose to write about them instead. Today she works as an award-winning young adult author and freelance television producer, for which she has won two Emmys. When not writing, Mari enjoys goth clubbing, cosplay, watching cheesy (and scary) horror movies, and her favorite guilty pleasure—videogames. A graduate of Boston University, she lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and young daughter.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Review:I can't say it enough.. I love this series! Another great addition to the series, Girls that Growl is funny, action packed, and of course a whole lot fun with some pretty hot vamps and some kick butt heroines. I just can't get enough. Long Story Short:Rayne is now a vampire slaying no powers vamp and she is given a mission, she must become a cheerleader. haha... now that is funny. Something strange is going on with the cheerleaders and boys are disappearing. Rayne is given the task to join the cheerleaders and find out exactly what that is. The mission leads Rayne and Jareth head off to England where they meet with another coven and a wolf pack. My Thoughts:Another awesome read. The books just keep getting better. Not only are their vamps and vamp slayers, now we have werewolves. Sounds good to me. The book was written in the same comedic style as the first two and I just think that Mari Mancusi is brilliant. I love the ironies in the story, the funny one -liners, and all the sarcastic characters. These book make me laugh out loud throughout the entire book. Of course the same awesome characters appear. This book is told from Rayne's point of view and we get into her head a bit more with all her insecurities and fears. She started to have some relationship issues and he also starts to enjoy being a cheerleader and makes a friend. She is a very strange one indeed. We get to know Jareth a bit better in this book and he is a bit different too. Being about to go out in the sun after some time being a vamp has gone to his head and he is now more of a surfer dude than a brooding vamp. Quite funny actually. Either way he is hot. There was a serious issue addressed in this book, cutting. I really appreciate the way the author added this in and did it in such a caring way. Sometimes these issues bring the book down and sometimes they add to the story. This time it added and it didn't take over. It was something spoken of and dealt with in a loving manner between friends and it brought out some really good things in Rayne. The book is a very fast read, exciting, and just way to funny. In the End:I think everyone should read this series and have fun with them. They are so spectacular.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5As I've said before I love Mari Mancusi writing...I love the witty sarcasm and happy to know Rayne kinda grew up. Can't wait to start book 4!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5As with the other books in the Blood Coven Vampire series, this one starts out with a recap of the previous book. Yes my friends, that means that even if you happened to pick this book up out of sequence, you'd still know what is going on. Isn't that fabulous? I thought so! Of course you'd then want to go and pick up the other two books before this. I'm sure you'd be craving more Magnus, more Rayne and much much more Jareth. Sexy vampires anyone? This installment of Rayne and Sunny's misadventures focused on a new addition to their vampire world, the Lycan. I really enjoyed Mari Mancusi's close attention to the details that surround this lore, and was laughing out loud at the characters she crafted to fit this bill. Also enclosed in this gem of a book is a whole new Rayne. Oh no, I don't mean that she has lost her deliciously acerbic wit. Heaven forbid! Instead this book shows us a Rayne who is evolving, who is learning more about who she is and how she treats those around her. It was amazing to see her keep her same personality, while still being able to evolve. I now love Rayne even more! What made this book a little difficult for me to read, and kept it from being my favorite in the series, was the extremely quick wrap-up of the overall storyline. I enjoyed the fact that the focus was on Rayne and her growth, but I missed the adventure part of it all. What made Stake That!, the book before this one, my favorite in the series was the rip-roaring storyline that it followed. I love following the twins on their crazy adventures, wrought with peril. Girls That Growl just felt like it ended too soon and I wondered where my butt-kicking, sassy Rayne had gone.Overall I still completely enjoyed the book, and of course the ending once again totally roped me back in! Luckily I had the next book in the series right next to my bed and ready to go. Mari Mancusi definitely has a flair for the cliff hanger ending. I'm still in love. I'm still bitten and smitten! For those of you who are already involved in this series, you'll find a lot to love in this book! For those of you who aren't....excuse me. Where have you been? Under a rock! Go out and get Boys That Bite right this minute! I'll wait.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Girls that growl is the second book int the Rayne MacDonald the vampire vampire slayer. This book picks up with Rayne looking at her relationship with her boyfriend Jareth. Jareth saved her life in book one and they become bloodmates. Because of the virus that Rayne was given that Jareth saved her from he too was infected and had his power striped. This allows Jareth to go out in the daylight. With this new freedom Jareth becomes a surfer dude.Rayne because she has become a vampire is no longer employed by Slayers Inc. officially but is held on to help out when needed. With that said Rayne is asked to join the cheerleader squad because Slayers inc. felt that they were all werewolves. This is where the story becomes funny. Picture a girl who wears goth clothing trying out to be a cheer leader. The story goes one with Rayne and Jareth going off to England to see if they can find an antidote for the cheer leading werewolves.Girls that Growl is an easy read that can help take your mind off of a hard day.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Rayne is a goth vampire vampire slayer (long story) who has lost her strenght so had been retired from slaying. That is until the cheerleaders at her high school start acting strange. Slayers Inc activates her to try to discover if the cheerleaders are in fact werewolves. Third in the series that started with Boys that Bite, this book is a lot of fun. There a lesson about elistist attitudes and mothers and daughters so there is a serious side. I like the whole series so far.
