About this audiobook

Despite their hopes for smooth sailing, the ladies of Ten Beach Road confront choppy seas in this novel in the bestselling series.

Forced to rent out or lose their beloved Bella Flora after the loss of their renovation-turned-reality-TV show Do Over, Maddie, Nikki, Avery, Kyra, and Bitsy move into cottages at the Sunshine Hotel and Beach Club believing the worst is over. Only to discover just how uncertain their futures really are.

Maddie struggles with the challenges of dating a rock star whose career has come roaring back to life while Nikki faces the daunting realities of mothering twins at forty-seven. Avery buries herself in a tiny home build in an attempt to dodge commitment issues, and Kyra battles to protect her son from the Hollywood world she once dreamed of joining. And Bitsy is about to find out whether the rewards of seeking revenge will outweigh the risks.

Luckily, when the going gets tough, the ladies of Ten Beach Road know that their friendship—tried and tested—can chase away the darkest clouds and let the sun shine in...

Gosh I hope this is not the last of this series. I will literally cry when I don't have a Ten beach Road to read!!

Best Beach Ever is my least favorite of the Beach series. It reprises too many cliches, totally lacks diversity (are only white people allowed into the new cottages?),and overdoes yet another brand name, this time the blech fish spread. I mean, really, who wants such a gruesome sounding food? And, so much cancer-causing alcohol...The plot twist with Bitsy is boring and feels too much like the original Ponzi tale. Many readers may well miss Deirdre and her creativity (what WAS the point of killing her off? = notably because another favorite had just been murdered),will wonder when Will will tire of Madeline's insecurities (we have!),and the lack of any forward moving central focus to the plot.Books beg for a map.

Summer must be getting close because the women of Ten Beach Road are back at the beach with an entertaining new novel. I have only read the first two novels in this series and was a bit confused at times so I suggest that you read the series in order. That said, now I have the fun of going back to the beginning and reading all the adventures of the eclectic group of friends. The group of friends in this book give us a bit of everything that bothers women - we have a mom trying to learn to live life with twin babies while she is worried about getting rid of her baby fat, a mom who has learned to love again while she is still worried about her daughter and grandson, a woman who has is afraid to love and another woman who has been cheated out of her money by a man she loved. The best part - it takes place at the beach and there is a happy ending for everyone! This is a perfect series of books to put in your suitcase or add to your Kindle for that beach vacation.

I could have sworn that I read part of the "Ten Beach Road" series before this book. However, when I checked it out, I had not. Apparently, these characters are so well written that I felt comfortable with them right away which just gave me the impression I had spent time with them before. There is lots going on in this book which focuses on a group of five friends who have lots of problems that they help each other with and through. There are a lot of obstacles along the way which include a Hollywood leading man, a lying, thieving husband and a rehabilitated aging rock star who's making a comeback.I loved the evenings when they get together to watch the sunset and take turns saying something good about their day. I think that's a great idea and hope to include at least the saying something good part in my future days.I enjoyed spending time with these characters and wish that I had started with book one in the series. Not because this could not be read as a standalone, but because I would have liked to have been with them during earlier times and issues that were mentioned in this book. It is definitely a series that is going on my TBR list. Thanks to Berkley Publishing and Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

Best Beach Ever is a perfect book to start my summer. I want to go stay with Nikki, Kyra, and the rest of the wonderful women. I want the beach sunsets with the women toasting their lives, the listening to the trials of their days, and to find the happiness they find with each other and in their lives together. There are many sub-stories that come together to tell the story of the Ten Beach Road ladies. Anyone who reads should find at least one character they connect with. There is great diversity in the characters. Nikki is an older mom of twins who is overwhelmed with life but wanting to prove that she can handle it all. Kyra is dealing with life as a single mom and an ex who is expecting more than she feels she can give. Avery is afraid to commit to the man she loves. Bitsy is a person who is looking for revenge on her ex-husband. With each character, there was something I could relate to and could feel what they were feeling in life. This is a series. The book can be read without reading the rest of the book in the series but I think the reader will miss some of the most special, important moments of the book if they don’t know the history of the characters. The back stories are important to know why they are how they are now and what they truly need out to be happy.

My Review of “Best Beach Ever” by Wendy Wax Berkely Publishing Group Publishing Date: May 22, 2018Author Wendy Wax , “Best Beach Ever” has written an enjoyable, heartwarming, emotional and captivating novel. The Genres for this novel are Fiction and Women’s Fiction. The timeline of this story is mostly in the present only going back a few years when it pertains to the characters or events in the story. There are other books in this series by Wendy Wax, but this can be read as a stand-alone.The author describes her colorful cast of characters as complex, complicated and confused. Most are likable, and many are very close friends and relatives. Each of the main characters seems to have a decision to make, and at times set-backs before they can move forward. Kyra and the other characters are forced to rent out their beloved Bella Flora, in order to keep it. Maddie, Nikki, Avery, and Bitsy move into the cottages at the Sunshine Hotel and Beach Club , not certain of the future. Each of the characters has their own set of problems . I appreciate the way the author shows the importance of emotional support of family, friends, and neighbors. I would like to thank NetGalley for a copy of this ARC for my honest review. I would recommend this book to readers of Women’s Fiction. Happy Reading!

Best Beach Ever is the 6th entry in the Ten Beach Road series by Wendy Wax. According to Goodreads: “After giving up their renovation-turned-reality-TV-show Do Over, the ladies of Ten Beach Road move into cottages at the Sunshine Hotel and turn their beloved Bella Flora over to its wealthy mystery tenant. Now, each woman will be forced to reexamine and redefine her life, relationships, and dreams.” I enjoy beach reads and was looking forward to this one. However, in the first chapter there were so many characters and references to places and things in the past that I was a bit confused and not sure I would ever get them straight and started to make a list; not a good sign. Things did pick up quickly, though, and the story moved along smoothly. This was my first introduction to this author and series. I am sure this will be a good read for those who have started with book one, but for me there were obviously so many unknown backstories that it was hard to become engaged or feel connected to any of the characters. Behavior that likely had a valid explanation in a previous book just looked like an unpleasant personality trait without the benefit of hindsight. There was a lot of detail about buildings and scenery; about the cast of characters, not so much. I learned more about Maddie, Nikki, Avery, Kyra, Bitsy and the rest from a blog post than from the book itself, and it took a while to realize that when they said they were going to the Sunshine they meant a hotel and not just outside. The author writes well, and there were many interesting characters. The plot moved smoothly and quickly. I usually like to start at the beginning of a series, but if I do read a book somewhere in the middle and it reveals characters I want to know better, I will go back and start at the beginning. However, with Best Beach Ever this was not the case. Even though the storyline was more or less wrapped up by the end, it felt like I had just dropped in and that the ending was just priming the reader for the next book. Other series do this of course, notably J. D. Robb and the Eve Dallas In Death series. But even though you would miss a lot of good history and interaction you can read any book standalone and fully understand the characters, plot and setting. As already noted, I might have felt more engaged with or sympathetic to these characters if I knew more about them and didn’t feel so much like I was eavesdropping. The location descriptions are beautiful and spot on. I am familiar with the area and have family that vacations on Pass-a-Grille each year and I felt like I was there. This story has good pacing, good smooth writing, and I could feel the pain, strong friendship and support from all the characters, as well as laugh at the many humorous moments. I recommend this book for those readers who are current with the series. Thanks to the publisher Penguin Random House/Berkley Pub for providing an ARC for me to read.

Best Beach Ever by Wendy Wax is the sixth novel in Ten Beach Road series. January 2 has rolled around, and the ladies have moved out of Bella Flora, so tenant can move in. They have into their cottages at the Sunshine Hotel. Madeline Singer is getting ready to go on tour with her rocker boyfriend, Will. Kyra and her son, Dustin will be departing in two weeks for Orlando where Dustin will make his acting debut in his father’s, Daniel Deranian new film. Kyra is not looking forward to spending six weeks in the company of Daniel’s wife, Tonja Kay. Nicole Grant Giraldi and her husband, Joe are busy as the parents of active twin daughters. Nicole has not lost her baby weight and is unhappy with her body image. Avery has a new project designing a tiny home. She likes Chase Hardin, but she is unable to commit. Something is holding her back. Bitsy Baynard realizes her husband is not returning (it has been over a year), and she is trying to locate Bertrand along with the money he stole. These ladies are friends (family) through the good times and the bad. They have been through rough times and come out the other side better for it. Come along for another journey with the ladies and see if they get their happily ever after. Best Beach Ever is my favorite book in the series. It is a well-written and engaging story. You do need to read the Ten Beach Road series in order or you will be lost. There are too many characters and backstories. These ladies have been on a journey. They were taken advantage of in a Ponzi scheme and received Bella Flora as a settlement. They had a successful television show and then lost it. They now must rent out Bella Flora to recoup their loss. The benefit is they are all together at the Sunshine Hotel and Beach Club. These women have a great friendship. Maddie is the matriarch of the group and she dispenses valuable wisdom to the group. It has been lovely to watch these women grow over the course of the series. I admit to being frustrated with Kyra and Avery in this installment (just wanted to shake some sense into them). It was nice to watch each woman come into her own. It is a sweet, feel good novel. I am giving Best Beach Ever 4 out of 5 stars. Best Beach Ever is the perfect summer novel.
