An FBI agent must protect the woman who can identify a terrorist bomber in bestselling author Susan Sleeman's riveting romantic suspense novel.

Each day could be her last . . . but not if he can help it.

Tara Parrish is the only person ever to survive an attack by the Lone Wolf bomber. Scared and emotionally scarred by her near death, she goes into hiding with only one plan-to stay alive for another day. She knows he's coming after her, and if he finds her, he will finish what he started.

Agent Cal Riggins has had only one goal for the past six months-to save lives by ending the Lone Wolf's bombing spree. To succeed, he needs the help of Tara Parrish, the one person who can lead them to the bomber. Cal puts his all into finding Tara, but once he locates her, he realizes if he can find her, the Lone Wolf can, too. He must protect Tara at all costs, and they'll both need to resist the mutual attraction growing between them to focus on hunting down the bomber, because one wrong move could be fatal.

Title: Fatal Mistake (White Knights #1)Author: Susan SleemanPages: 400Year: 2017Publisher: FaithWordsMy rating: 5 out of 5I found a brand-new author who writes such tension filled suspense along with faith filled themes her books are easy to get lost in! In Fatal Mistake, Tara had once worked a government job and had a relatively quiet life visiting her Aunt June’s farm where she grew up. One afternoon Tara enters one of the buildings on the farm and what she finds changes her life forever! After recovering from being shot and talking with Special Agent Cal Riggins, Tara has much to process about what she has been told about a friend she grew up alongside. However, after what she found in the building, seeing his face filled with hated and his shooting her, she decides taking off without anyone knowing is her best option for staying alive.Cal has found her, and she must return with him so his team can protect her until they find the man who is responsible for so much death and destruction. As I turned pages, the plot grew along with the suspense, and the curiosity kept me reading for hours! Susan Sleeman writes very well and knows how to deliver a story that is believable, full of twists and turns, making a reader’s heart beat faster with each page that is turned!I found that the author writes many different series of novels. I cannot wait to read them and let you all know how about them. There is a second White Knights book called, Kill Shot that I plan to read soon. In the meantime, look up the author’s website and pick one of her books to read. I think you will be very glad you too found an author who can tell a riveting story you will want to share with your friends and family.

Great plot. I love that it's very clean and not smutty. With a great ending.

As always, Susan Sleeman keeps her readers in the palm of her hand as she moves them along through a story line filled with suspense. In Fatal Mistake we learn right away who is behind the terror plot; it is the motivation that is slowly revealed. As both main and secondary characters find themselves in extreme danger, readers may find themselves tensing up and holding their breath as tension mounts. There is a bit of romance in the book, but it definitely plays second to the suspense. The overarching theme of this book deals with taking on responsibility and guilt for things that are out of one’s control. Doing so not only robs one of joy, but will likely have a negative impact on the choices one makes. Readers see this play out in the lives of Tara Parrish and Cal Riggins. Tara accidentally stumbles upon the identity of a terrorist bomber, quickly becoming his target. For a while she alludes both him and her would-be protectors, a special FBI unit known as the White Knights. She does not want to be responsible for more lost lives. Cal, a member of the White Knights, is driven by his need to make things right by compensating for lives lost with more lives saved, hoping to quench the guilt that hounds him. As readers will anticipate it is between these two that the romantic tension exists, but will this tension lead to a fatal mistake? I thank NetGalley and Faith Words for providing a copy of Fatal Mistake in exchange for my honest review. I received no monetary compensation for providing this review.

I have forever wanted to read this author, and I was not disappointed with this hold onto your seat novel! I love and could almost see Tara panic when she found a slew of bomb making material in the shed and tried to hide from The Lone Wolf bomber. She held onto her cell phone as the dispatcher said the police were enroute, but she needed them NOW as her neighbor pulled up and got out of the car. There was nowhere she could hide! I liked that agent Cal Riggins took his time to settle Tara down, I could tell from his actions that he would get there in time to save Tara as he would not settle for the other option! Ms. Sleeman takes you on a roller coaster ride as the bomber is hell bent to kill Tara and there was NOWHERE SHE TO HIDE!

This story opens with a bang, literally a bomb and gunshots, and ends with bombs around necks of those we are now caring about.A man with a warped sense of justice, a mind that now believes that if you don’t believe as he does, then you must die, and has now become know as the Lone Wolf and started killing women.A fairly knowledgeable man with evil intent, and you begin to wonder how he can be in so many places at one time, where is all the money coming from. Guess from recent news you will have an idea, and yet will justice prevail or this time the evil win? There is a bit of romance here, Tara is the one being perused, and Cal is the rescuer, or at least trying to be, and he does succeed in saving her life a few times. While Tara is coming out of a controlling relationship, I had the feeling that Cal is married to his job at the FBI fighting terrorism. There is a light in this story and that is Aunt June, a sweet God loving woman, that has been a saving grace in Tara’s life. Even with all her kindness, you have to wonder if she will survive.A riveting page turner of a read, and one that will be with you for a long time.

A very suspenseful read. Tara is just worried about living and surviving another day and it is Cat Riggins job to make that possible, once he finds her that is. I liked seeing how the characters interacted and worked at finding the ones responsible for the bombing and how they grew closer as the book went on. I liked how they trusted in each other and how they were able to focus on the goal at hand. I received a copy of this book from the author, the review is entirely my own.

What a fast paced emotionally charged opening this book has. I could not stop reading as the action grew more intense and the threat of evil grew stronger. The author has written a story that reminds us to never let our guard down and always have faith. Do you remember your childhood friends? They would come over to your house and you might watch movies with them or just talk about silly things. When Tara is asked out on a date by her friend Oren, she turns him down. That rejection will come back to haunt her. There is a serial bomber on the loose and by a chain of events Tara discovers who it is. When she realizes that no one can keep her safe, she runs hoping to disappear from everyone. I loved how Tara was willing to risk her life to keep someone she loves safe. Will Tara be able to help catch the bomber before he strikes again? Can she learn to trust Agent Cal Riggins? Cal Riggins is one tough character. He has experience as a SEAL and has been assigned the case to catch the Lone Wolf as the bomber has been called. His team called the White Knights are trying to locate Tara to keep her safe. I loved the technology the author described when Cal and his team are trying to locate Tara. The authors knowledge of weapons, sophisticated programs and other tools that the team uses shows how much research went into the story. It made for a very believable action packed story that had my adrenaline at high level. The intense scenes are powerful and loaded with top knotch skills of the team. I loved the growing attraction between Tara and Cal. They slowly learn to trust each other and realize they need to learn to trust God again. I loved how the author brought two characters together during an intense time and took them on a journey of danger, learning to trust and finding their faith. This is one story you won't want to miss if you love action from beginning to end with characters that fight against an enemy that tries to outsmart everyone. I look forward to the next book in this exciting series. I received a copy of this book from the author. The review is my own opinion.

A best friend turned mortal enemy. The young boy Tara Parrish played with as a youth has evolved into a hateful serial killer. Oren Keeler uses his knowledge of explosives to create terrifying bombs to kill women as he pursues Tara, the one woman who escaped his murderous intentions.Cal Riggins, FBI Special Agent tasked with keeping Tara safe, finds himself in danger of losing his heart. But both Cal and Tara have gigantic trust issues to overcome before they can consider a relationship...if they can survive that long.In Fatal Mistake, Book one of the White Knights Series, Susan Sleeman expertly engages the reader within the first sentence. Sleeman's writing is taut, tension-filled, and addicting all at once. The reader is taken on a terrifying journey alongside Tara and Cal and can only hope to emerge in one piece at the end. Just in time to read the preview for book two, Kill Shot, coming in early 2018! I'll be anxiously waiting!!I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. This did not influence my opinion, freely given.
