Mark Edwards

Mark Edwards and Louise Voss met after Louise saw Mark on a TV documentary about aspiring writers, and a writing partnership was born. Not as good as Magpies but I love Mark Edwads books.

Loved The Magpies so it was a no brainier to listen to the next in the trilogy and who doesn’t love a follow up. I was interested to go on the journey as it’s great when your already acquainted with the characters and there history with each other. I wasn’t really sure where this story could go but I hate unfinished business. Not sure if the follow up was needed really so for that I’m glad it was a shorter listen. Don’t think anything could beat The Magpies but it was still ok. Of course I will listen to the last one in the trilogy so I can feel it’s ticked and put to bed. Really like the narrator and his easy listening voice that keeps you engaged. I didn’t hate it more wondering if it was needed. So on to the next one…

Why is it so difficult to get the audiobooks in order to be able to follow a story? Depending what site you choose, there can be several lists and it is very confusing. I have listened to books and then found out I had missed books in the series. I have Hoopla and Scribd and some series, after a book is finished, show the next one but not all. Why isn’t that a common practice? It makes it much easier. I have stopped listening to some authors because it is too much trouble to follow the series. Certain series will list audiobooks complete series but some will start in the middle of the series and ending, no beginning, and any combination. If you get the series, why not all of it?

A gripping sequel to the first novel .Lucy certainly had more than her share of luck. Hoping she gets her just punishment in the third novel.
