About this audiobook

"Utterly unique and absolutely riveting—I couldn’t put it down! What a marvelously cool world." —Sarah J. Maas, New York Times bestselling author, on Firstlife

Don’t miss the epic conclusion to the New York Times bestselling series, the Everlife novels.

STAND TOGETHER OR FALL ALONE.
THE FATE OF THE EVERLIFE HANGS IN THE BALANCE.

At seventeen years old, Tenley “Ten” Lockwood had to make the ultimate choice—where to live after she died. Loyalty to her selected realm has not wavered…until now.

As the Everlife descends into darkness, a single truth becomes clear: Troika and Myriad must unite at long last—or perish. In order to bring sworn enemies together, Ten must enter forbidden territory and destroy the powerful Prince of Ravens. But there’s only one way inside—bonding with Killian Flynn, the deadly rival who sets her blood aflame.

When betrayal leads to the edge of utter defeat, Ten and Killian will have to rebuild trust from the ashes of their hearts. Victory seems impossible, the odds stacked against them. In the end, how far will they be willing to go for the sake of their realms and the Everlife?

Great ending, but I feel their should’ve been more involved between killian and tenley the last few pages. Maybe.. her somehow getting pregnant even though they’re spirit formed. Would’ve been interesting and cool to start another book like that.

The third and final installment of the Everlife series and Ten is determined to bring peace between the two realms, Troika and Myriad, by saving the people trapped in Many Ends, a sub-realm connected to Myriad, where those who died their first death before choosing a realm, committed suicide, or died their second death in Myriad, go to be tortured, the latter a secret kept by the king of Myriad, the Prince of Ravens, who Ten is determined to destroy so to put an end to his evil, and bring peace.

With help from Killian Flynn, Ten sets out on her final quest.

I listened to the audiobook and having the definitions and the number codes from the 'texting addresses' of the characters was not a good way to start an audiobook. If I hadn't been driving, I would've skipped it, as I would have if I had been reading it. I listened to the first two books also, and neither had this waste in the story. That said, I really hated all the numbers listed to designate the characters as they 'texted' each other. It was a waste of time for an audiobook, reading I would've skipped it! Another waste was Ten's obsession with numbers, yes, some of it was interesting, but most of it was filler in order to get the word/page count. This wastefulness took a star away.

The story was great, except for the above. I love the characters, the author's worlds seemingly inspired by religion, how freedom of choice really matters, and that just because two people chose differently, doesn't always mean one is evil and the other is not. It's mostly all about what those you look up to preach or force you into believing.

Ten was able to see the difference, to see with her own eyes and come to her own opinions instead of believing those who were 'older' than her.

Great story, I highly recommend the series, but too bad there were unnecessary extras that took away from the story. Audio listeners be warned.
