- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book completely paralleled the game's universe. It explained so much mysteries that were lurking in the back of my head for so long. Additionally, the recording was so well made, the performances were prodigious, and I felt like I was part of the story all along. I recommend this recorded book if you want to have the best experience listening to a well-made story.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Decepcionante! Adorei o primeiro livro, mas esse segundo, acho q só deve funcionar para quem joga o game. Uma pena!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It’s by Brandon F-Ing Sanderson; what more does one need to say? I only wish that he had written a third book to tie up the loose ends (regarding “The Worker”) that remained at the end of this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Obsessed with this book. Just sad there’s no word if and when book three will come out!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A good story. Not great, but solid and quite interesting. It had been a while since I read its predecessor, "Infinity Blade: Awakening" and it took me some time to get caught up. I wasn't sure how much was from the length of time since reading that, and how much was because I had not finished playing the game Infinity Blade II.After the first few chapters, it settled down and became a far more interesting story. As engaging as the main plot was the subplot concerning the distant past and the origin of the Deathless. Once again, Sanderson managed to make video game logic work in the context of the story, which is no small feat.My biggest gripe was with the ending--a cliffhanger, which of course leads immediately into the game Infinity Blade III. A fine marketing too (I did buy the game, after all), but frustrating from a reader point of view.I hope that at some point, Sanderson is engaged to fill in the blanks of this story. If he were to convert the events of the three games into narrative form, combine them with these stories, and release it all as a novel, I'd be sure to buy it. The story is a strong one, and it deserves more closure than it currently has.Recommended: Only for readers of the first story and players of the first two Infinity Blade games. Not for newcomers.
