About this audiobook

“You’ve done better.”

With one uncharacteristically sassy tweet to her longtime celebrity crush, Zoe Miller’s life turns upside down. Ultrahot A-lister Chase Covington doesn’t just respond to Zoe’s tweet, he does the unthinkable: he messages Zoe directly. Now she must decide between walking away or meeting her crush in person.

Chase knows better than to trust anyone from the Internet, but Zoe’s saucy challenge has totally caught his interest—and her girl-next-door personality is keeping it. He’s been burned enough to know he needs to keep his heart close. But his feelings for Zoe might be a lot more than just an online flirtation. He just has to convince her

When the press gets wind of Zoe and Chase’s secret relationship, their romance turns into tabloid headlines. Will they be able to hold on to their Hollywood love story?

Author

Sariah Wilson

Bestselling author Sariah Wilson has never jumped out of an airplane or climbed Mount Everest, and she is not a former CIA operative. She has, however, been madly, passionately in love with her soul mate and is a fervent believer in happily ever afters—which is why she writes romances like the End of the Line novels, the Royals of Monterra series, and the #Lovestruck novels. After growing up in Southern California as the oldest of nine (yes, nine) children, she graduated from Brigham Young University with a semi-useless degree in history. She currently lives with the aforementioned soul mate and their four children in Utah, along with three tiger barb fish, a cat named Tiger, and a recently departed hamster who is buried in the backyard (and has nothing at all to do with tigers). I'm all for normalizing sobriety and celibacy in adults for non-religious reasons....and it's way more common than people think....

And while I read my fair share of spicyyyyy books, I find that very often abstinence between a couple (for whatever reason) really ADDS to the romance factor for me, both in building a real relationship between them (which personally adds SO MUCH to it for my little demi-sexual heart!) and in building the physical longing and suspense, which I also think is waaaaay under-rated.

I understand some of the criticisms of this book. Perpetually lying to her roommate about the relationship got old and unrealistic, and the short plot line with her job/boss/coworker at the end was even sillier....but then, most books have to have some unrealistic controversy driving them.

For me the place that suspension of disbelief was the hardest was the entire bases for their relationship: those tweets that somehow originally caught his eye. If they'd been truly clever his instantaneous fascination with her might have been more believable....but they just...weren't. So his insta-obsession with her was hard to buy.

But I appreciated the uniqueness of this story, and once I just MADE myself take the mental leap of accepting his irrational attraction for her, it turned into a very sweet love story. And sweet is sometimes just what the doctor ordered.

Starstruck was an extremely sweet romance novel. You truly are able to feel the sexual frustration they experience with her choice to practice celibacy. It is a sweet read that would also be a good starter book for young adults just getting into romance novels.
