About this audiobook

I was running from my past when I met her.

…Well, technically I was speeding on my Harley.

Lauren is a breath of fresh air.

Innocent and impossible to resist.

She’s exactly what I need for a new beginning.

To escape the dark mistakes that I’ve made in the past.

My motorcycle broke down in front of her house for a reason.

Lauren craves me as much as I want her.

She can’t stop staring at me when I step out of the shower.

But there’s a wall between the two of us.

I’m hiding behind a secret that she can never discover.

Can I break the wall down?

Or are my demons too much to handle for a sweet girl like her?

I think the book would have been ok with a different narrator.

So I know that this was a short story, but the dialogue and character developed was subpar to say the least. Great plot line, horrible writing

I couldn't handle the narrator! So, so bad. May try to read the story but... probably not.

writer ended the story with a couple of sentences. It’s an ending but too abrupt. She should have at least provided an epilogue. I listened to it only because I'm waiting for next batch of audiobooks to be released on the 15th of the month on Scribd

This could have been a good story had it been longer. So was she lusting after math class guy while in a hurry to get back to the man of her dreams? That was a tad out there. The male voice by the narrator was annoying. It's hard to get past that in a lot of these regardless. I sort of wish they'd just read the part without trying to sound like the opposite sex. It's too easy to lose the effect of a brooding, sexy man when it sounds like a man whose balls haven't dropped yet. It sounds like a drag queen when the man tries to voice the female. Just let it be read, people!
