Life throws spanners and stuff in our pathway which takes us off guard and makes us feel vulnerable. Whether it is financial, relationships, health, work, whatever it is. Turning that around and being the best and fabulous person you are isn't a feat of dexterity it is just a mind shift.
It can be difficult to motivate yourself when you are feeling low and vulnerable, but you can do it without too much effort and trouble. You need to respect yourself and not allow your mind talk to talk you down, nor the voice of anyone else either.
