About this audiobook
Paul Bennett had the perfect wife, the perfect family, the perfect life—until one fateful Christmas brought an unthinkable tragedy. In deep despair, he turns to drinking to drive away the pain, but he only succeeds in driving away his wife. His marriage shattered, his family gone, Paul now despises Christmas.
But can the holiday he so detests hold a miraculous surprise? After an accident in which he loses consciousness, he wakes up in the company of the shepherds who will soon travel to Bethlehem to see the newborn Christ in the manger. Can Paul find salvation on the night that forever changed the world? Can he discover the true spirit of Christmas?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/55 stars - Listened to the audiobook narrated by Andrew Eiden. Fantastic job! I highly recommend the audiobook.
I had never heard of this author but another author recommended him to me. I was searching for more Christian fiction male authors besides those I was familiar with. I put this on my Bluetooth speaker today as I was doing a big task. I enjoyed it from the start. It takes a very unusual turn but it was wonderful!
This novel was about love. Romance. Marital. Parental. Community. Church family. And most importantly, Jesus. Life can be good, hard, or in between but His love never changes.
I enjoyed learning the back story of Paul and Rebecca before the tragedy. Their love story. I teared up as they went through their grief and Paul spiraled into an abyss. I cheered as he encountered Christ and the greatest story ever told.
I will definitely be looking for more books by this author. I didn’t expect to be taking in any Christmas reads in October but I’m so thankful that I did! What a beautiful story! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5After a tragedy strikes his family, Paul turns to drinking and away from God and his family. He wakes up to witness the Christmas Star and the birth of Jesus. A beautiful love story. I had chill bumps reading about him seeing the star.
