Reviews for Half of a Yellow Sun
10 ratings2 reviews
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Engaging story set in the times leading up to and during the Nigerian civil war. Interesting characters, gained a lot of knowledge and insight. The prose is more journalistic than poetic which made it less emotional than it could have (should have? ) been.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Eloquent, insightful, harrowing. Induces introspection on one’s own apathy. Let’s face it...the injustices of Biafra continue in many parts of the world as I write this. Overall, a great read.
