About this audiobook

She was a madam in a brothel, then a gangster’s moll. Now Annie Carter owns the East End of London, and God help anybody that crosses her…

It’s 1970, London, and there’s a killer on the loose.

When gang boss Annie Carter gets a call, suddenly it’s personal. A close friend of hers is the latest victim, and another is in the frame for the murder.

With the hated Delaney gang still causing trouble, and NY mob boss Don Constantine Barolli’s family making no secret of the fact that they hate her, she senses a feud blowing up in all their faces very soon.

To save her old friend, Annie has to try to find out who’s been targeting the girls. Before long she’s diving head-first into the seedy underbelly of the streets.

How long before the killer strikes again? And who will be the next victim?

1970, East End of London and Annie Carter and her friends are back in the third installment in tne series of books.I always like to read books in order snd have done so far but I do think that this book can be just picked up without reading the other two. There are plenty of flashbacks for the reader to get the gist. In this installment of Annies life, shes trying to continue after Maxs death in a very man world. Its not easy and its made worse for her when prostitutes sre getting murdered. This series of books are very much in the vain of Martina Cole. I dont think they are as course as MC books but still are in keeping with their setting. The book was an enjoyable read and the character's lives have plenty going on and its clear there is more to follow in the next book. I won't be in a rush to go snd get thd next book but wouldn't not ignore it either.
