About this audiobook
There will be plenty of time for me to beat him soundly once I've gotten what I came for.
Sent on a mission to retrieve an ancient hidden map—the key to a legendary treasure trove—seventeen-year-old pirate captain Alosa deliberately allows herself to be captured by her enemies, giving her the perfect opportunity to search their ship.
More than a match for the ruthless pirate crew, Alosa has only one thing standing between her and the map: her captor, the unexpectedly clever and unfairly attractive first mate Riden. But not to worry, for Alosa has a few tricks up her sleeve, and no lone pirate can stop the Daughter of the Pirate King.
In Daughter of the Pirate King, debut author Tricia Levenseller blends action, adventure, romance, and a little bit of magic into a thrilling YA pirate tale.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Fun read, for YA enthusiasts of romantasy. Pirates of the Caribbean vibes
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5THIS IS AN AMAZING BOOK!!!!!! The slow burn romance is to die for!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was ok. I wasn’t overly intrigued in the story, and found it somewhat predictable. I didn’t think the characters were as developed as they could have been, and so didn’t find them all that relatable or endearing. It was all just a bit meh, and a little underwhelming.
If you’re looking for an easy, light listen that you don’t have to be too engrossed in, then it might be what you’re looking for.
Pirates, sirens and magic, with a little enemies to lovers and forced proximity, in a very vanilla way (it is YA, after all). A little bit of death and violence, but no gore. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Alosa is sent on a mission to retrieve part of an ancient map. She is intentionally captured to give her the perfect chance to secretly search the ship, but the first mate, Riden, is more perceptive than he lets on.
As the daughter of the pirate king, Alosa is far from a damsel in distress and has a few tricks up her sleeves as she goes toe to toe with this fearsome crew. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Suspenseful, mysterious, and fun! I had a good time reading this, and anyone who loves a gritty pirate adventure will love this too! The main character isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, only afraid to fall in love.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very good YA. Def for teens, but we’ll written! I like the premise just don’t love the high emotions of the young characters.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good story! I liked the characters though felt the author could have pushed a bit more and expanded on certain scenes and areas to really give more depth and color to the story. Would definitely recommend it for those looking for an easy read and a nice escape.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It’s like if Jack Sparrow was a girl! Enemies, to lovers, back to enemies! I love it!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was an entertaining read to pass the time between books. Short but fun. I did find myself getting annoyed with the main characters choices sometimes. But that is how YA usually goes.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Once I started reading the story and couldn't stop until I finished. Every sentence, every interaction, every scene had me hanging, wanting, needing to know more. Every word was well written. The suspense and plot twist were well planned. Overall it was a magical experience, one I loved very much.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Some parts were predictable and I struggled with the narration.

It's a female pirate everyone!!! FINALLY!
I love it when a book fulfils a specific genre craving I have and Tricia Levenseller just seems to do that for me. All I wanted to read was some swashbuckling fun complete with a female protagonist who wasn't afraid to be an actual pirate - and I got it!!!!
This was such a fun read and of course I devoured it in one day. All I can say is thank you. I will definitely be reading the sequel next!

Simple writing style but super fun! I enjoyed this. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely loved it, Alosa is just the type of girl anyone will fall for, she is clever, witty, a force to be reckon with and even men will have to bow before her... can't wait to listen more to her story and to see how she will get after her destiny and what will happen between her and him ?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Interesting and a fast pace. The romance seemed a bit forced, but good turns in the story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a good book. I enjoyed all the piracy, action & romance!

Alosa is sent on a mission by her father the king of the pirates to search on a enemy ship for a piece of a map that when united will show them the way to the mother of all treasures and for that to happen alosa needs to be capture, torture and ridicule to get what she most desire... pleasing her father. The only person in that ship that might get in her way is first mate Riden. he seems to have it all from he's wit to he's handsomeness might be more than what Alosa can chew but honestly whom can really be a match for the Pirate King daughter?
I ENJOY so much this tale! I was never bored. the writing is easy to follow and entertaining enough to keep on reading making it difficult to DNF. I wish the characters would had been a bit older and I know its a YA but they are pirates and they looked like one, smell like one but from time to time sounded like one and for me Riden was the least pirate sounding of them all, I love him don't get me wrong but he was to kind and honorable, idk he smelled like true love and good intentions not like Alosa she meant business. Either way I loved it and would totally recommend it, if you like books about Pirates, adventures, love, loyalty and what really makes a family one Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller is the book for you.
I give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ making it a #GreatRead
