About this audiobook
And the night is far from over. Only several hours later, a young woman is strangled to death. Detective Jacob Cooper discovers that the victim was lost in her own virtual world-a recluse who spent all day sucked into a violent online role-playing game. To find the murderer, Jacob might have to step into the game.
Now Hannah will have to push aside her qualms, and Jacob will have to find a way to overcome his technophobia, if they want to crack the cases. Their search will take them into the seedier parts of the Internet and uncover shocking secrets as they attempt to expose a killer.
Mike Omer
Mike Omer has been a journalist, a game developer, and the CEO of Loadingames, but he can currently be found penning his next thriller. Omer loves to write about two things: real people who could be the perpetrators or victims of crimes—and funny stuff. He mixes these two loves quite passionately into his suspenseful and often macabre mysteries. Omer is married to a woman who diligently forces him to live his dream, and he is father to an angel, a pixie, and a gremlin. He has two voracious hounds that wag their tails quite menacingly at anyone who dares approach his home.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The second book in the series, but not really a sequel. Kind of like an updated version of the The 87th Precinct series of police procedural novels and stories by Ed McBain, though I find those to be more humorous. This book has two murders to solve, and both story arcs are good reads. We learn a bit more about the detectives from book #1, but there is no appearance of the serial killer from that book, which bummed me a bit. Also, no Zoe Bentley in this one - another bummer for me. But I enjoyed the book, and will read the next one, for sure!
