About this audiobook

Angharad "Harry" Russo is just your ordinary twenty-something, with one exception-she's a witch with an out-of-the-ordinary gift. When her blind date goes sideways and she ends up face-to-face with a dead body, her life starts to go sideways too.

Harry soon finds herself right in the middle of the mayhem, dealing with Cian Nash, a homicide detective that is as aggravating as he is sexy; the biggest, baddest vampire in town; and a parcel of pesky zombies that keep popping up everywhere. It's all connected to her date's unfortunate demise, or is there more to it than meets the eye?

This was pretty good book. It moved quickly, the characters covered the gamut of supernatural beings without seeming too forced. Looking forward to the next one.

This book/series could have been amazing. It had the material to do so with Harry being a witch/necromancer/dhampire, but it unfortunately was a flop due to the fact that Harry has no backbone. She is constantly being manipulated, used, bossed around and she NEVER stands up for herself. Just whines about what's happening to her without doing anything to change her circumstances. I honestly had to stop reading the book multiple times because I was so frustrated that she was allowing herself to be treated poorly. Like it was actually affecting my mood! Which shows the author is a good writer, she just needs to make her heroine be an actual heroine!
To put it bluntly, if you're wanting a book about a necromancer that deals with vampires, shifters and fights bad guys while totally being badass, I would go for the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton. It is 100 times better than this series.

I loved listening to this book. The narration is very good. The woman has a slightly deeper voice and is almost soothing. The story is great too.

Ok plot, men nogle af navnene er de samme som i andre bøger i samme genre og det trækker en ud af historien. Oplæseren får desværre alle mænd (og den ene veninde) til at lyde som gamle usexede mænd, hvilket er en skam.

This was a nice easy read with a great friendship between Harry and Tess, exciting action and an interesting romance. It wasn't long but seems like the start of a wonderful new series.

First, I must acknowledge that I received this book free from the author for a honest review. Harry can see ghosts, lives with a witch and a werewolf, and manages to get herself embroiled in vampire issues while trying to help a ghost with his unfinished business. Along the way, Harry attracts the attention of a hot alpha werewolf. Oh, and did I mention the zombies? I know that a similarity could be made from this book to another famous book series that was made into a TV show, but this book has its own flavor and quirkiness. The book leaves you on a high note with a twist that makes you immediately look for a sequel (which will be out in 2016)!
