About this audiobook
You just saw the founder of the Suicide Motor Club. Be grateful his brake lights never flashed. Be grateful his car was already full.
They roam America, littering the highways with smashed cars and bled-out bodies, a gruesome reflection of the unsettled sixties. But to anyone unlucky enough to meet them in the lonely hours of the night, they're just a blurry memory. That is, to all but one . . .
Two years ago, they left a witness in the mangled wreck of her family car, her husband dead, her son taken. She remembers their awful faces, despite their tricks and glamours. And she's coming for them-her thirst for vengeance even more powerful than their hunger for blood.
On the deserted highways of America, the hunters are about to become the hunted . . .

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely loved this. A unique take on an old creature. I went into this blind and I’m so glad I did. Christopher Buehlman is so versatile and breathes fresh life into the horror genre.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just about perfect . Clean writing, believable dialogue among characters more complex than ordinarily found in genre novels, no overwriting or false notes. A narrative that moves briskly without ever seeming to rush, and a refreshing take on the vampire trope. The pages practically turn themselves. Makes some more famous horror writers seem fat and sluggish by comparison. First rate, great fun. This, on top of the similarly excellent The Lesser Dead makes Buehlman a real find
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A gang of vampires roams the highways at night causing accidents so that they can drink the blood of the victims, and the wife/mother of two of those victims decides to take revenge. The story is campy, bizarre and over-the-top ridiculous, but it was also amusing (to me anyway) and entertaining.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Not a scary Halloween read, but an awesome Halloween read nonetheless! An avenging mother takes on a gang of brutal vampires that took her son from her. I had not heard of this author but will be looking for more from him.
