      The continuance and premise of this story is relatable. I’ve enjoyed this series so far.

      Sweet small town romance between a military veteran with PTSD and a once abused widowed mother of a pre-toddler.When Carrie met Noah they did not hit off and his gruff very rude comments were not appreciated by her. When he sees her again in the office where he will interview for a job things do not improve. They begin to improve as they gradually reveal more about themselves to one another as neighbor and on the job. Preconceptions are shattered and true interest and courtship takes place. Noah is enamored with both Carrie and her daughter, Molly, and does what he can to improve their lives while his life improves by being with them.This book deals with current and rather heavy topics that include: single parenting, domestic abuse, PTSD, cheating on a spouse and the loss of a child. The issues were dealt with well and with compassion. I did not understand how Carrie managed to be friends with her ex-husband and the woman he married in this book and think that had I read the previous books in the series I might have understood this and also some of the dynamics between other characters mentioned. That said - back stories and reading of the previous books was not necessary to fully understand this novel. This is my first book by this author and I will look for other books by her in the future.
