About this audiobook

Photographer Quinn Parker is getting married in a month, and she’s almost happy about it. Even though her mother is planning the whole wedding. Even though she’s secretly had the hots for Simon Chase forever. But he’s her best friend’s brother and her coworker…off-limits even if she were single. So she’s marrying the man who should be her perfect match—and that’s that.

Simon Chase’s life revolves around his family’s storm-chasing business. The meteorologist of the bunch, he’d rather be out in the weather than reporting it—especially if Quinn Parker is along to photograph the run. He’s been hiding his crush on her for a long time, and it’s only intensified. But she’s marrying someone else—and that’s that.

Or is it? When a Chase family wedding sets the stage for body temperatures to rise and the pressure of Quinn’s impending wedding to build, a new reality breaks. Quinn and Simon discover their unrequited affections have been mutual all along. When the gathering storm of their attraction finally reaches its peak, will it leave their lives in shambles? Or will they find shelter in each other?

Captivating. Intense. I loved this book! This was my first time reading a book by Ms. Lovelace and I will definitely be reading more. I loved her writing style. I felt like I was right there with Quinn and Simon. I couldn't put it down. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. The novel is well written and fast paced with some witty banter and intense moments. The characters are all enjoyable and I was easily able to relate to Quinn and Simon, both. I look forward to reading more books in this series and more about the Chase brothers. Highly recommend!ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

Family, friendship and frustration abound in this story of friends flirting with the idea of becoming more even though one of them will soon be married. Quinn and Simon have known each other for years, have worked side by side chasing tornadoes on reality TV and have a great friendship even though they have both had a crush on one another for an awfully long time. One night changes things but neither is willing to derail Quinn’s upcoming wedding. Whether or not they have their happily ever after will depend on soul searching, communication and a few very tense moments. I liked Simon and his family. I liked the dynamics between Quinn and her sister Phoebe. I thought Quinn’s mother Adelaide was a right piece of work and Eric, the fiancé, though a nice guy was better suited to Adelaide than to Quinn. A number of interesting side characters made an appearance and I would really like to read the stories of some of them when they come out. Stacey, Simon’s plus-one for the wedding, is one person I want to know more about…and of course all the rest of the Chase family members that don’t have their partners will hopefully have their stories told, too. This was a complex, well written story with real problems for the main characters to deal with. I enjoyed it and want to thank NetGalley and Montlake Romance for the copy of this book to read and review.

Quinn Parker is a photographer for the storm-chasing Chase family. She's also about to be married in a month though she has a 'secret' crush on Simon Chase. Simon is a great guy who also happens to love Quinn though he doesn't want to be 'that guy'.There's a lot of action with the storms as the Chases film for a reality show. Simon is also a weatherman and volunteers for his local shelter. I never really understood his fear of relationships, but it was okay compared to Quinn's dithering. She's a society girl who loves the adventure of storm-chasing, yet she's marrying a guy who's from the world she disdains. She takes digs at Eric throughout the book but insists on going through with the wedding despite some steamy kisses with Simon who she also treats like crap. Despite that he's her best friend, she doesn't seem to know about the shelter that he works at several nights a week. She also has issues with her mother in the worst passive-aggressive manner. I wanted to like this book more than I did. I do like the author's writing and maybe the problem was that I read Just One Day earlier which has a similar plot with the love triangle and the fiance.
