About this audiobook

All that glitters may lead right to his heart…

The last thing Cleopatra Knight expects on her business trip to Tokyo is to fall into bed with her arrogant, irresistibly hot boss, Dante Damaso. It’s a mistake—a steamy, mind-blowingly satisfying mistake. But a few nights of passion with the superwealthy bad boy prove to have long-term effects when Cleo’s world is unexpectedly turned upside down.

Dante has cultivated an enviable, jet-setting lifestyle: beautiful women, exotic destinations, and luxury without limits. He’s not looking to be domesticated, and certainly not by his assistant—even though he can’t get her out of his mind. Still, he knows he has both the responsibility and the financial means to help Cleo.

Though Cleo has no interest in Dante’s money, her lack of prospects gives her little choice but to accept his help. But living under the same roof, Dante discovers he wants more, and if Cleo lets down her guard, she just might find what her heart’s wanted all along.

Decent book, but a bit boring
I've read much better books by this author

Great book. Finally one I loved from start to finish. Thank you!

I nearly didn't finish it. It was too long and maudlin! It needs a good editor ! Cleo was a whinging spoilt "coogal" brat and frankly I couldn't understand why Dante put up with all of her nonsense. I don't want to give any spoilers but having been there, I don't want to read about it! As the saying goes keep it simple and. Justine, whom I normally like can't do South African accents, so shouldn't bother! I don't think I will be reading another one of this author's books.

The beginning of this book was kind of awkward and unconvincing. Perhaps the writing didn't feel organic , but eventually I fell into it a bit. The sex scenes were kind of sterile, but there was some good relationship development and character growth. The workplace thing was dealt with just well enough to avoid me throwing in the towel.

However. Without spoilers, I will say the plot took a turn that I felt was inelegant and convenient. As my friend Gaufre said, emotionally manipulative.

So while I enjoyed this just enough, and actually really loved the hero, I don't know that I'm committing to anymore Anders bc of the awkward writing in the beginning and the cringey, cheap ending. 2.5 rounded up.

Some of the reviews made me wonder about this book, but I've read all the others by this author now and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did as I enjoyed this story very much. Cleo doesn't like her boss much. Dante is arrogant and rude, but the two have sexual chemistry and fall into bed on a business trip. Afterward, they try to go their separate ways, but fate keeps throwing them together. I actually liked Dante once I got past his rudeness and I though he and Cleo are a great pairing. Their backgrounds make them a great couple and it's nice to see them discover that as the story proceeds. The storyline itself was a little predictable, but the author handles it well and gives a few new twists to make it interesting. I have enjoyed all her books so now I must wait for the next one.

I'm glad I didn't read too many reviews about this book as I was bound to read a spoiler or two, and that would have been a terrible shame.Cleo Knight has taken a job working for international hotel chain owner Dante Damaso. As well as being a very successful man in business he has to be the most inconsiderate, slave driving, s.o.b., on earth, according to Cleo that is. There's not enough she can say about her feelings of disdain for this man...except he's hot to look at, and a stud in bed.Their business trip to Japan is over and their short affair comes to an end and Cleo moves to another department which is best. But despite their plans, weeks later Cleo and Dante find their lives thrown back together. And now the story really begins. And that's it from me. This was a beautifully written story, both characters had a lot of growing up to do. I loved seeing them both mature and realize their feelings.
