About this audiobook
A thief’s good deeds are never done.
Loch and her crew are determined to stop the ancients from returning to reclaim the world they once ruled, but the kidnapping of a friend throws their plans awry. When a desperate rescue turns into a shocking reunion, the ancients return and seize power. Determined to stop them, Loch and the group look for a way to close the gate to the ancients’ world, but this time, they find themselves up against an enemy that has insinuated itself into the highest ranks of the Republic. Cruel, cunning, and connected, the ancients target the crew’s families and histories, threatening to tear friendships apart.
If that weren’t bad enough, Loch must deal with her treacherous assassin sister, her turncoat ancient friend, and a daemon who has sworn to hunt her to the ends of the earth. In order to save the Republic and pull off her largest con ever, Loch will need her friends…and maybe her enemies too.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Thirs time listening to this series and I love all 3 books. I'm not a big "reviewer" but I will listen again in a couple of years and be just as entertained. ??
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5[I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an unbiased review.]
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Disregard my previous messageLast year in my review of "The Prophecy Con" I urged you to plow through it because you would need Book 2 to understand Book 3, "The Paladin Caper" which promised to be really really good. Well, I was wrong. "The Paladin Caper" is not exciting or even very interesting. I think I have picked it up an put it down a dozen times since I got it last September and I find I can't force myself to care about these characters or be interested in what they are doing. Sorry.I received a review copy of "The Paladin Caper: Rogues of the Republic (Book 3)" by Patrick Weekes (47North) through NetGalley.com.
