About this audiobook
Aislin Ferry and Jason Moros have only days until they will be called to account before the Keepers of the Afterlife. Yet as they race to restore order and make their case, their worlds fall into total disarray.
Mutiny within the fractured Ferry family threatens Aislin’s hold on power and role as Charon. Meanwhile, the fearsome Lord of the Kere has family trouble of his own. Someone is unraveling the fabric of fate, and Moros suspects one of his supernatural siblings is behind the terrible bid to unleash Chaos.
Now unlikely allies, Aislin and Moros each need the other to escape the wrath of the Keepers. As the stakes rise, it becomes clear that protecting their respective empires is not the endgame. With the fate of all humanity dangling by a thread, Aislin and Moros must surrender completely to one another if they are to fight their common enemy. And as time runs out, someone must make the ultimate sacrifice.
Sarah Fine
Sarah Fine is the author of several popular series, including The Impostor Queen and the Guards of the Shadowlands. And while she promises she is not psychoanalyzing those around her, she manages to use both her talent as a writer and her experience as a psychologist to great effect. Sarah's stories blur lines, challenge convention, and press boundaries. Her mash-up of seemingly disparate genres yields stories that not only are engaging but will keep readers guessing. Sarah has lived on the West Coast and in the Midwest, but she currently calls the East Coast home. She confesses to having the music tastes of an adolescent boy and an adventurous spirit when it comes to food (especially if it's fried). But if her many books are any indication, writing clearly trumps both her musical and culinary loves.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5When I finished the first book in this series, I was really happy with the world-building, especially with the plausible climate change future of canal-Boston. (Love that dirty water...) It was an urban fantasy novel with a mythology and a fantastic setting. This third book is far more a paranormal romance, and I don't say that to slight PR (which I enjoy), but to say that in this book the series changed its focus from urban fantasy in future Boston to a romance that could set set anywhere and anywhen. I was disappointed.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This third book appears to wrap up the series that involves The Fates, Keres who mark those for death when the Fates give them the word, and Ferrys who guide souls to their final destination. This one is about Aislin Ferry, the current Charon or head of the Ferry empire and her fight not only to retain her position against a board that doesn’t trust her ability, but as a servant of Fate, help prevent the destruction of the world while working closely with Jason Moros, aka Death and the head of the Keres. The two of them face a no win situation not only with what they’re up against, but a relationship between them.In the first two books Aislin comes across as somewhat cold and mostly interested in the success of the company. We get a totally different view of her in this one and yet what we’d originally learned still fits. She’s an incredibly strong character and it’s her strength that not only makes a relationship possible, but gives Jason a reason to keep on fighting. And I just love how she thinks and is able to get a desired outcome. This story takes us into realms we haven’t been in before and we finally learn about the Keepers and the Lucinae. We finally learn who is responsible for all that’s going on and what their ultimate goal is. I found the story interesting and was surprised at how some things came together. I thought this was a great wrap-up to the series.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Fated by Sarah Fine is the third and final book in the Servants of Fate series. Aislin Ferry is the Charon and Jason Moros is the Lord of the Kere. A war is coming and they will have to work together to prevent it and the complete unraveling of the loom of fate. Moros’ knows that one of his sisters, Eris has turned against him, but he is not sure if any others have or not. What can be done to stop the rise of Chaos? Aislin is also experiencing mutiny within the Ferry family and company. It is going to take everyone working together against their enemies to protect themselves and humanity. But will everyone make it out alive?I am sure that the above summary does not make a lot of sense, unless you have to have read the other books in the series. If you have not read the other book, you will not understand what is happening in Fated. I did like seeing a different side of Jason Moros (a softer side) as well as Aislin. Eli, Cacia, Galena, and Declan all return in this novel to help with the ultimate fight. I did not enjoy Fated as much as the first book in the series. The ending was not unexpected or surprising. I give Fated 3.75 out of 5 stars. It is an interesting series, but it did not live up to its potential. Fated contain some explicit sex and extreme violence.
