This book deserves negative stars - it has an unbelievable couple, no sparkage, no believable emotion or angst between the couple, his motives were self-serving, her motives incredibly obvious, though portrayed as "surprising". This was NOT erotica, just an excuse for some almost non-consensual sex and spanking scenes; it felt as though the author had several BDSM scenes she wanted to write, wrote those, then went back and poorly wove a "plot" around those scenes, making the "sex" scenes and the "plot" scenes completely unworkable and unenjoyable to read. Here is an example of the author's writing style: " Even though his large, heavy balls epitomized male power and potency, they felt strangely delicate in her gently massaging hand" (page 137). If reading that sentence made you say, "Hunh?" you might not want to read this book. I found myself talking back to the book, for example regarding the above excerpt, I said, "Could it be because testicles *are* delicate?" Argh! Not recommended.
