About this audiobook
What if the only way to go straight is to break the law?
Michael Ford has finally escaped his chequered past to lead the respectable life he's always dreamed of, preparing to settle down with his fiancée Annie. But the quiet is shattered when his brother, Jack, comes back into his life.
Jack is a world-class con man who has finally overplayed his hand. He's in way over his head in a conspiracy to steal a billion-dollar secret from the heart of the financial system. And in an effort to help his brother, Mike soon finds himself trapped by the dangerous men in charge - and responsible for pulling off the heist himself.
With Annie's safety on the line, Mike tries to figure out who's behind the job - and realises the only way to keep the honest life is to return to his criminal past. But will he get in too deep to save Annie's life?

Reviews for The Directive

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Directive is, for the most part, a fast-paced, can't stop reading thriller. It does bog down somewhat as Mike Ford is figuring out exactly into what kind of mess he has become entangled. The Directive is a piece of paper that comes from the Fed and says they will either keep the economy going strong or will try to slow it down. There is a plot to steal it. Mike's plan is to get married. He wants a nice stable life and is finally ready to settle down to a normal, unexciting suburban life. But Mike also has a history. A criminal history that he has worked hard to over come. His brother drags him back into trouble and gets him involved in a scheme that involves some very powerful people. The character of Mike is a very likeable and the fact that you want his life to work out is the main reason you are compelled to keep reading. Well, that and to find out if and how he pulls it all off. The Directive is a quick read and would make a great summer beach read.
