About this audiobook
Another Christmas on Nantucket finds Winter Street Inn owner Kelley Quinn reflecting on the past year as he writes a holiday letter to friends and family. Though the year has had its share of misfortune and worry, the Quinns have much to celebrate. Kelley, now single, at least is on better terms with his first wife Margaret, who is using her celebrity to lure customers to the inn in record numbers. Their son Kevin has a beautiful new baby, Genevieve, with the Inn's French housekeeper, Isabelle; and their daughter, Ava, is finally dating a nice guy--her devoted colleague, Scott.
Now the Quinns are looking forward to celebrating Genevieve's baptism, welcoming Isabelle to the family, and enjoying the cheer of Nantucket's traditional Christmas Stroll. But just when a peaceful family gathering seems within reach, Kelley's estranged second wife, Mitzi, shows up on the island after souring on her relationship with the inn's former Santa Claus. Soon Kelley isn't the only Quinn entertaining a surprise guest from Christmases past as lovers old and new gather beneath the mistletoe. With jealousy, passion, and eggnog consumption at an all-time high, it's going to take a whole lot more than a Christmas miracle to get the Quinns--and the inn--through the holidays intact.
Elin Hilderbrand
Elin Hilderbrand lives on Nantucket, has three children and is the author of 27 novels, including SUMMER OF ‘69. Elin met Dottie in the spring of 2017 at the annual Post & Courier luncheon in Charleston and Elin says, “It was love at first sight.” The two authors proceeded to meet on Nantucket every chance they got and they texted and emailed non-stop. They dreamed of doing a joint cooking show called “Cook the Books,” where they would invite a third author on to make a signature dish for each episode. They also talked about a cookbook called “The Southern Belle and the Gray Lady.” Elin’s summer of 2020 novel, 28 Summers, is dedicated to Dottie and Dottie makes a cameo appearance in Elin’s summer of 2021 novel, Golden Girl. “I will never again have a writer friend like Dottie,” Elin says. “Those of you who knew her understand what I mean, and those of you who didn’t will just have to trust me. They broke the mold.”

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Winter stroll by Elin HilderbrandLike how she brings life to Nantucket Island, MA. This holiday treat is about the Quinn family and many are gathering for the special winter stroll.Immediate family and their kids, boyfriends, girlfriends, ex spouses, etc. Hard at first to figure out who is who but it gets easier as time goes along.Love the parts about the ugly sweater contest...this book starts up where last years holiday read left off so I'm familiar with a lot of the characters. Some deal with the stress using alcohol, prescribed drugs, having sex with other than their intended, and illegal drugs as the drama goes on. Each chapter is from a different viewpoint.I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Wonderful, wonderful, and onto the next!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5When you are a Quinn, life is anything but a bed of roses. Still, they persevere and soldier on. Bart is still MIA, Mitzi is barely coping, Ava decides she is dating the wrong guy and switches to someone else, Kelly and Margaret have reached a deeper understanding, Kevin wants to take "the big step," and Patrick is in serious legal trouble, which causes Jennifer to seek help in the form of prescription pills, also illegally. But life goes on, and one thing that is true about this family: they are always there for the other guy. This story just keeps getting more interesting, and the characters better developed. One thing for sure, Christmas at Gramma's was never like this!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Not horrible, but I definitely wouldn't have read this if my book club hadn't picked book 3 for a book club book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Sheer enjoyment. I always love Elin Hilderbrand's books. Here, she revisits the Quinn family from her previous novel, Winter Street. Patrick is in jail for insider trading; his wife, Jennifer, has developed a trashy addiction to help her cope; Kevin is adjusting to fatherhood and an unexpected encounter with his ex; Ava is trying to choose between two men, one of whom might have a crush on someone else; and Mitzi is regretting leaving her husband for Santa Claus. A fun read, with some plot threads resolved and others left hanging, so I bet there will be a sequel.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5not as good as the first installment, but still enjoyed it!!!! love the Quinn family!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is the second book in the Winter series featuring the Quinn Family on Nantucket. It is a year later from the last book and we can finally tie up some loose ends from the first book. As we reacquaint ourselves with each family member, we see that their lives are full of drama. The story takes place over the weekend of "Winter Stroll" and it is amazing how much happens over those three days. As the family prepares for the Baptism of the newest member of the family, we find out about new engagements, reconciliations, possible breakups, drug addictions, an MIA and what happened to him, as well as health issues. It just keeps coming. I am glad that I have Winter #3 ready to go on my tablet, because once again, this story ends with a bit of a cliffhanger. An interesting story with great characters that draw you in quickly and make you root for the family to solve their problems and have a good life. A great chick-lit, family drama story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Such a lively family and interesting. Nantucket Island inn keepers…the Quinns. I like that Elin’s chapters are first person , so we readers know how the characters are thinking.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Lots of craziness going on with this family. Second book in the series and it has been a year. I will say since it's been a few months since I read the first book I had a hard time remember who was ho because there are a lot of characters. I would recommend waiting for the series to finish then read them or read this one right after the first one. Well written as always and entertaining. Shows how all families have drama big and small.
