This appeared in the Daily Telegraph when Carter died in March 2004: when asked what he believed in, Carter had said: "Nothing fixed or final. All the while I travel a miracle. I doubt, and yet I walk on water". Amen to that! And I love the graffiti-like illustrations in this book. My copy is falling apart, but treasured.
