About this audiobook

The latest enthralling case in Tess Gerritsen's New York Times bestselling Rizzoli & Isles series, the blockbuster books behind the smash hit TNT series.

Boston Detective Jane Rizzoli is on the case of a big game hunter found dead in his apartment, alone with the body of a beautiful white snow leopard he had recently been commissioned to procure and stuff for a high-profile museum in the area. Medical examiner Maura Isles connects the case to a number of seemingly unrelated deaths where the victims have all been found hanging upside down, the hallmark of a leopard's kill. Rizzoli follows the puzzling trail of clues all the way to Botswana, where she uncovers the unsolved mystery of a deadly camping safari four years prior. When she realizes the two cases are connected, Rizzoli must track down the sole survivor of the tragic trip to discover who—or what—is behind these gruesome deaths.

It's hard to remember anymore which came first, although of course, it was the books. The tv show does a great job running a sort of parallel universe to the books, things definitely are different thatn the written form. Another solid entry to the long list of Rizzoli and Isles novels.

Entertaining. Not her best work. Had trouble ID'ing characters and time period with the writing technique Tess used of constantly switching from current time back to 6 years ago. But kept with it and finally got the hang of it. Enjoyed it to the end!

Tourists on an African safari in Botswana are killed and only one survives. Six years later in Boston, a big game hunter and taxidermist is ritually murdered and butchered like wild game. What is the connection between the Botswana killings and the Boston murders? There have also been other hikers and hunters who have been killed or just vanished throughout the United States. Rizolli and her policeman husband make a trip to South Africa where they persuade the safari survivor to return with them to Boston to see if she can identify the killer. The book was very suspenseful and kept me guessing until the end.

Another great thriller from Tess Gerritsen! Die Again (the latest in the Rizzoli and Isles series) weaves together stories of murder in Botswana and Boston that will keep you guessing until the end. I've read several in this series, but now am excited to go back and read them all.

Six years ago, a group of travellers visit Bostwana on a real life African safari. None are seen again except one, Millie who survives. In Boston Jane Rizzoli and Maure Isles are called in to investigate a bizarre killing, a man has been found gutted and hung. Has the safari killer come to Boston. As always with books that are a series I do prefer to read them in order as they do follow on, and I feel that the reader will get to know the characters. Some of the books in the series featuring Jane and Maura for me have been good but there has been the odd one that hasn't quite hit the mark. This book however was a cracking read and maybe the best of the whole set.All of the books are gory in nature and with the subject content of this one it has to be the goryist of them all. The story was gripping and kept me turning the pages. This book could be read as a stand alone thriller but I am glad that I have read them all. I hope that Ms Gerritsen churns more out like this one.

From Botswana to Boston, this eleventh installment of the Rizzoli and Isles series entitled Die Again, takes readers on a thrill ride as detective Rizzoli and medical examiner Isles try to uncover the predator who is behind a recent gruesome killing. Tess Gerritsen does not disappoint as she weaves a plot full of excitement, horror and mystery, keeping readers in suspense throughout this masterfully written crime thriller. The suspensefully written plot kept my attention through to the end in this page-turner. Although the previous ten novels in this series were exhilarating, I believe this may be one of Gerritsen’s best. Tying a seemingly unrelated set of events in Botswana to a killing in Boston was child’s play for Gerritsen who really has made Rizzoli and Isles into household names. Die Again would be an excellent choice for suspense lovers or readers looking for a fast-paced thrill ride.

This is the second Rizzoli & Isles novel by Tess Gerritsen that I've read, and I enjoyed reading both of them. If you enjoy watching the show on TV, you'll enjoy reading the books.

I really tried to like this book but just couldn't. Not sure if it was me or the content...but it wasn't the Rizzoli and Isles I have come to enjoy reading about. Please Ms Gerritsen ...keep them in Boston and not have them trekking off to somewhere out of their element.

I received this book as an early review. It did not disappoint. The story of Rizzoli and Isles continues to develop and have some great twists and turns. The mystery continued through the very end! Keep the stories coming!

Rizzoli and Isles in this and the rest of book series share little with their counterparts on the TV shows. While I enjoy both, the books are more realistic and obviously more detailed. That being said, I enjoyed the story because of the unexpected twists that came from assumptions all through the book. This is not a cozy mystery. It has a lot of meat to it. But well worth the investment of time to read.

Loved this book. It was the Rizzoli and Isles from the first few books, not the one from the television series. This story has Jane travelling from Boston to Botswana to crack the case of a Big Game Hunter and famous taxidermist who ends up hung and gutted in his own garage. The book jumps back and forth between a previous situation in Botswana six years earlier where a group of tourists, their guide and spotter all disappear on a safari into the back country and the murder and investigation in Boston. The story is easy to follow and I was enthralled by the Botswana story. A great read.

This is very much in keeping with the rest of this series but somehow it did not hit the spot for me. I don't know if this is because I have now been introduced to the TV series so it seemed a bit slow and cumbersome or if it was just my mood. I could not fault the book and I would be interested to see some other reviews to see what they highlight as different as there is nothing i can pinpoint. I thought as someone who has been to Tanzania and read quite a few books with african references this was a good example of not overdoing the exotic while still noting some very key differences. I do like her characters and the recovering traveler would have been nice to see a bit more depth to.

Thank You Librarything for providing me with a copy of this book. I always love Tess' writing style, and this book is no different. I enjoyed the story, although I really liked the second half better. Regardless, this was a quick and easy read.

My second book by Tess Gerritsen and again I was not disappointed. Rizzoli and Isles are on the case again. This is the 11th book in the series. I do need to catch up on all the other books. Not sure if I had missed anything by not reading the previous books. This case takes Rizzoli across state lines and out of the country. Who is murdering people by hanging them and gutting them? Similar to how hunters kill their prey. I found myself trying to figure out who the murderer was. I love when a book makes me think while reading and keeps me guessing until the end.

I think this series gets better and better as it goes along. This time we travel back six years to Botswana in flashbacks to help find out what is going on in Boston. Are the two murders connected? What really happened six years ago. Very enjoyable. I listened to the audio and I had a hard time turning off the car and going to work because I wanted to keep listening. Can't wait for the next installment.

This book was about people that went on a safari , in Africa. Around the same time in Boston, Rizzoli & Isles, was called to investigate a horrific crime scene. During their investigation, they believe it is connected to an unsolved murder from the past.

I did not enjoy this book as much as Tess Gerritsen's other books. It took me a little bit to figure out that events that happened in Africa were six years earlier than the Boston events. I thought the book jumped around quite a bit and didn't necessarily tie up all the loose ends by the end of the book. I still thought the book was good, just not as good as her other books.

This has been the best book in the series so far! I finished this in one day and could not put it down. The story had a lot of unexpected plot twists and turns. It takes the reader from Botswana to Boston tying together a series of murders committed over the course of several years. The book starts on African Safari and twists between current day and six years ago with ever interesting connections between a taxidermist in Boston, his son Elliot now missing from a trip in Africa, a safari guide named Johnny Posthumus, and a woman named Millie who was the sole survivor of her safari. Needless to say this is a must read for mystery/thriller fans. Reader received a complimentary copy from Library Thing Early Reviewers.

This was such an intense mystery. I've not read this author before so I was not familiar with her style of writing. I found her descriptions of murder scenes to be a bit gory but all in all, I devoured the book to find out who the culprit really was. Thank you LibraryThing for choosing me to review this book.

Huge fan of the show and newer to the novels, I found DIE AGAIN to be a great thriller with all the elements that I adore from the series. It is great reading this book because I could visualize everything! That is what great writing does!! I may have to go back to the start of the series and start reading!!!

Tess Gerritsen's Rizzoli and Isles series presents a thrilling race to find the killer. The killing starts 6 years in the past, when a group of people go on a safari in Africa. One by one, the people are killed, and one of the women runs into the bush to escape, and against all odds she survives. Then killings start in the Boston area, and the team of Rizzoli and Isles must find this killer who guts his victims. The characters are dimensional, but could use more development. The setting propels this novel to greater heights, such as the description of Africa. As usual, Isles seems so unemotional, and Rizzoli the extreme opposite. I have waited a long time to read the next book in this series.

The opening of Tess Gerritsen’s eleventh Rizzoli and Isles narrative takes the reader to an African safari that took place six years ago. The story that unfolds alternately focuses on that safari and on the present-day investigation into the murder of a well-known taxidermist that Boston police detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Doctor Maura Isles are working to solve. Botswana may be far outside Detective Rizzoli’s jurisdiction, but there’s a dark secret hiding in the shadows and a series of seemingly-unrelated deaths may have more connections than anyone can possibly imagine.“Die Again” a fast-paced page turner with a twist the reader won’t see coming until it’s upon them. As always, the finely-developed characters are true to their development over the course of ten previous books, and “Die Again” is a perfect addition to the series. Highly recommended.

Received as Early Reviewer Flashing between current and 6 years previous, we are taken on an African Safari and living with the aftermath of the experience.Of the Rizoli & Isles books I have read, this is my least favorite. The story attempts to lead you in one direction, and then twists into a completely different one. While it is still enjoyable, it failed to hit me with an "Ah Ha!" moment.
