About this audiobook

The Sword of Antietam tells a complete story, but it is one in the chain of Civil War romances, begun in "The Guns of Bull Run" and continued through "The Guns of Shiloh" and "The Scouts of Stonewall." The young Northern hero, Dick Mason, and his friends are in the forefront of the tale. (Summary from the Foreword)

The book itself was decent and I have enjoyed this author's writing, with his other titles being better, but the narration was terrible. Way too many different narrators! They changed every other chapter and sometimes after each chapter. Each one at very different speeds, word pronunciation(many saying common words wrong non stop), and a couple with bad recordings like one guy sounding like he's in a bathroom echoing. Another sounds like he's out of breath and breathing louder than his reading.
I get the idea its a volunteer community reading, but it should be limited to two to maybe three narrators to a book, and bad ones weeded out. Having six plus narrators is ridiculous and ruins the experience. I give narration a hard one star.
