About this audiobook
Jenna Blake, a freshman in college, wants to be a doctor like her mother. Unfortunately, she has a deep dislike of blood and an even deeper fear of doing harm to someone. Her father suggests an unusual option-medical examiner. Although Jenna finds the idea disgusting, she decides to go for an interview at the campus hospital. Part of the interview involves witnessing an autopsy. What she learns there draws her into a medical mystery with political ramifications. Unsure who she can trust, Jenna fights to discover the source of a new and lethal disease. But in her determination to find the truth, she makes herself the target of a sinister killer. Her only hope is to outsmart this ruthless shadowy figure. Body Bags offers an intelligent, believable young woman while building suspense to a fever pitch. Narrator Julie Dretzin perfectly captures Jenna's courageous spirit.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is definitely one of my favorite reads!! I can still remember buying the book at the book store years ago!! I also remember seeing others reactions whenever they saw the title of the book!!
I love how the book takes on mystery and suspense and medicine. The story was never boring or slow and kept me wanting to read more. I can still remember staying up to read it again while my undergrad studies instead of studying for an exam!!
Overall I recommend that anyone who likes a good mystery & medicine should read this. Don't let the title scare you. I wish I had more time to read the other books in the series. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Jenna Blake's first days as a freshman in college include some unexpected events. As she begins to get acclimated to college life, she decides to apply for a job with a medical examiner to determine if it would be a good career choice.I loved reliving the first days of college with Jenna, and I'm glad I didn't personally experience a professor dropping over dead in class! Most of the characters Jenna encounters were realistic, but the plot - not so much. However, once Jenna applies for the job, the action begins and doesn't let up. It's a good, fast read.Originally posted on: Thoughts of Joy
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The thriller Body Bags, by Christopher Golden, provides high school readers with an easy, but realistic read. The protagonist, Jenna Blake, is a college freshman and high schoolers will be able to relate to the new found independence and freedom she has. They will enjoy the responsibility Jenna is given, and takes on, in her new job, while she struggles to figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life, and how she’s going to live up to her parents’ expectations. The job in the morgue, performing autopsies and becoming involved in an almost deadly plot make it an exciting read! This book is the first in a series by Golden.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The beginning of the book was a little dry, because Jenna was just getting to college. After the 2nd chapter was over it did get better, a whole lot better. I recommend it for ages 12+. Because young children might get confused by some of the language, they also swear several times. ********!!!!!!!!SPOILER!!!!!!!!!********Only part I didn't like was the Chris told us WHY the people were getting infected, but he left out HOW they were getting infected.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I read this a while ago but truly enjoyed it. Jenna and her friends seem very real. I sort of had to get past her actually getting the job, but decided to just to with it. Jenna is in college so this might appeal to older teens more than tweens.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Body of Evidence series is about Jenna Blake a College student who gets a job as the Medical Examiners assistant. She helps out with the autopsies and everything it entails. This is the 1st book of the series and Jenna is starting her freshman year at Somerset University. Her dad links her up the local Medical Examiner for a job and internship. On her first day of class her professor becomes homicidally violent then colapses and dies. She gets to help out on his autopsy and finds more than they all bargained for. The mystery and the trouble starts there.
