About this audiobook

On the night before they leave for college, Clare and Aidan only have one thing left to do: figure out whether they should stay together or break up. Over the course of twelve hours, they'll retrace the steps of their relationship, trying to find something in their past that might help them decide what their future should be.

The night will lead them to friends and family, familiar landmarks and unexpected places, hard truths and surprising revelations. But as the clock winds down and morning approaches, so does their inevitable goodbye. The question is, will it be goodbye for now or goodbye forever?

Charming, bittersweet, and full of wisdom and heart, this new irresistible novel from Jennifer E. Smith, author of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, explores the difficult choices that arise when life and love lead in different directions.

This is a sweet realistic book great for teens and 20 somethings to understans and put their high school sweatheart relationship into perspective.

A longtime high school couple, Clare and Aidan, spend their last twelve hours on a sort of 'best of' date before heading off the college in the morning. Predictably, they are headed to opposite coasts of the country, so the date is a sort of 'best of' around town, with the end game being the decision of whether or not to continue the relationship long distance. I have really enjoyed all of Smith's books. This one seemed a bit familiar at times, but was still a good read for someone not in the target audience.

It's Clare and Aidan's final night in their suburb of Chicago before they head to opposite coasts for their first year of college. While Clare has created a list of sorts, to guide them through, she knows that the biggest they'll have to deal with is the question they've been grappling with all summer: do they break-up or struggle through the difficulties of a long distance relationship?A bit different in style from the other novels that Smith has written, this one is still full of charm. Everything is a bit more emotionally fraught for all the characters involved as they deal with the anxieties of crossing that border between high school and college. I liked that Clare and Aidan's relationship, while the nucleus of the novel, wasn't the sole focus of the narrative and there were plenty of other great side plots going on (impressive for a novel that takes place over the course of one night). If you've read and liked other novels by Smith, I'd pick this one up but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this as a first novel of hers to try.

Oh, Jennifer E. Smith, I can always count on you to both break my heart and make me sigh with contentment.

    Is it later yet?
And here's the amazing thing: Now it was.

    All the feels.

Clare and Aiden have 12 hours before she departs for Dartmouth in HelloGoodbyeNew Hampshire and he jets to Los Angeles to attend UCLA. The question that so many teens face but hasn’t been written much about in YA literature is what do they do. Having been dating for 2 years Aiden is of the impression that long distance romances can work and there are so many folks who have married their high school sweethearts. Clare, on the other hand, thinks that they should break up now, while on an up streak, rather than wait until it fizzles out over time and seeing each other on college breaks becomes awkward. However, Aiden, always the joker, hasn’t been keen on discussing this subject. So, on their last night together in the suburbs of Chicago, Clare the anal one and list maker in the relationship, has created a list of places of importance to their relationship that they must visit before leaving for separate coasts. Aiden, the unromantic one of the duo, isn’t quite sure what occurred at some of these spots but he’s going along with Clare. In the 12 hours from 6 PM to 6 AM the next day, Clare and Aiden come to a decision. Along with this, readers get a glimpse of both Aiden’s and Clare’s parents, who play a major role in how the teens react to their situation. Additionally, they get to know their best friends, Scottie and Stella, who also impact their decision.ComebackSeaspmHello, Goodbye and Everything in Between is a great title because the book is a 12 hour roller coaster of emotions. Should they? Shouldn’t they? Saying goodbye to friends and family is tough even if it isn’t permanent.I’ve been a fan of Jennifer E. Smith from The Comeback Season, to StatisticalProbabilityThe Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight to Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between. While at the beginning of the book, it wasn’t my favorite, by the time I got to the end, it was high on the list (I think The Comeback Season will always be my favorite since it was my first (and her first) Smith book). You know what to expect with Smith. A great story. Great characters. A great ending. And possibly a teary eye at the end.I’d put Jennifer E. Smith up there with Sarah Dessen, and new favorites Emery Lord and Morgan Matson.

I was waiting eagerly for the final installment in the Lunar Chronicles. I had read Book 1 in the series with trepidation because fractured fairy tales have, in my own opinion, been a bit overdone as of late. But, if you read that previous review you will remember this, I was quickly hooked on the series as it was something I was not expecting at all.The final book in the series did not disappointed. Packed with action, emotion and adventure - I loved every page. As was the case with the former books in the series, Meyer takes the reader on a spellbinding adventure. All of our favourite characters are included and by the end of the book, each character's tale has been spun to an ending (no spoilers on whether those are happy endings or not). What I really enjoy about Meyer's writing is the level of detail that comes with it. She truly creates a world that draws the reader in. And her character development is envious. Each character in the series (even evil Levana) are painted with a fullness and depth that few books in this genre can achieve. This series will stay on my favourites list for a long time!
