Great story; problem with audio. First 2 chapters were missing.

This is a new cozy mystery with the cooking theme. Goldy Schultz is a caterer who discovers a body on her way to pick up her son Archer. It is the girlfriend of her ex-husband affectionately known as the Jerk.

One, don’t listen to this if you are hungry. There is quite a bit mentioned of pastries, pasta dishes. Not to mention fish dishes.

It was perfect for a light read. There were quite a few twists in the plot. There was mention of domestic violence, it doesn’t delve deeply but was a realistic portrayal.

It was a bit slow and repetitive at points which meant that the story felt like it dragged in places. But overall a decent book.

Another great book in her series of Goldy Bear Catering.

One of the things I liked about this story was the sacrifices Goldy made for her son. Her ex-husband is as crazy as ever in this story and Goldy is certainly torn between conflicting impulses. There are some crazy doll collectors and some really tasty recipes in this book.
