Umm...was it just my kindle or did the story just end kind of abruptly? Like I got to the epilogue but my kindle was stuck at 99% and it felt like there should have been a tad bit more. If I missed something than the rating may change. If I read it all then...yeah, I'll make sure to explain my 4 star rating to everyone once I do my research and prepare my review once it is a little closer to release day. Hmm...

The angstiest of the series, Ben and Lizzie's story is a surprise baby romance. It was still a lot of fun to read and Andi Arndt definitely made it very entertaining.
However, after reading the previous books, the characters and plot seem a bit formulaic and recycled. The story is always from the girl's POV who is quirky, fun, feisyy, always dead set against spending any of the guy's hard earned money and always super into him from the start.
It was still very funny and sweet but I feel like if I read one, I read them all.

Lizzy Rollins is shocked when she learns that her life has been changed forever, all of her plans and goals for her career and education have been tossed, when she finds out she gets pregant..and the father is a rock star…perfect. Lizzy never imagined that one glorious night in Ben Nicholson’s arms, would result in this. Apparently condoms aren’t foolproof after all. Her life has changed but she knows that the hardest part will be telling Ben. Ben has always known that Lizzy is forbidden. He promised his closest friend and brother Mal, he wouldn’t touch Lizzy, who is Mal’s sister-in-law. Mal is very protective and Ben respected his decision, despite how drawn he is to Lizzy. But when they start communicating in secret, they develop a friendship and more develops between them. Despite how forbidden she is to him, he can’t resist her and one night he spent the most spectacular night of his life and he knew that they had no future, and he certainly isn’t boyfriend material. But when he learns that she is pregnant, he decides that he must give them a chance…as a family. The HeroBen Nicholson, is the bass player of Stage Dive. He is the only bachelor left, but he also craves his freedom. Ben loves the parties and the women and the drinking. He loves his care free life, with no obligations except to his music and his family and his rock band brothers. Outside of that everything else is fair game…at least that is what he thought before a bombshell was dropped in his lap and his life changed forever. He never imagined that he would find himself being a father, and soon responsiblity is heaped on him, but there is one person that is his rock…Lizzy Rollins. Ben was such a great hero. He is sexy, talented, loves music, dedicated and carefree and playful. He is sex on wheels and doesn’t mind everyone knowing that. The HeroineLizzy Rollins, is the sister to Anne, wife to Mal (good ole Mal–*grins*). Lizzy wants to be a psychologist, and wants to help those in need. There is a part of her that wants what her sister has but doesn’t know when or if it will happen. But then she meets Ben, and she knows that she will never feel anything close to what she feel for Ben for anyone else. So she does what any woman does…chase after her prey, only it ends up with consequences that she doesn’t see coming. Consequences that could cause a rift between Ben and the band. Lizzy is independent and passionate, she is driven and has a gentle sweet spirit. I have adored her ever since we see her in the previous book. She has a quality to her that you find down to earth and likable, the type of character you could have tea with on a lazy afternoon.Plot and Story LineDeep starts off with learning that Lizzy is pregnant, and the way that the whole band learns…is unique and not what I ever saw coming. Deep is the fourth installment of the series, and what an installment. It just might be my favorite one, or it ties with “Play”. Deep draws you completely in with the first chapter, and then it takes us to when they first meet, and the slow friendship that builds between them with the “secret” communications. Some of these texts..are hilarious and jeez do these two really like each other. But they don’t act on it till one fateful night. I like how entertained I felt through this whole book, and I just breezed through it, I mean this series is amazing, and Deep I just couldn’t put down. Reading Deep makes me want to re read this series again…so amazingly good. The pace of the story is pretty intense at the beginning, but then it takes it to a down low when you see them building up their connection. Then we get to the good part…seeing these two try to work things out not just with each other, but man…does the band have some surprises for you with their reactions…and Mal knows how to hold a grudge LOL. Deep was a very emotional story, and my heart just went with these two…but most especially Lizzy. Quite Frankly in the beginning, seeing how Ben deals with it, well he is a jerk. Let’s be honest…he treats her pretty horribly. But he definitely proves himself, and redeems himself to me. I love the way that his reactions are very vividly realistic, and you see how this would be how a normal person would react. You see the variety of emotions that is normal for human nature. You definitely see how these two find their way back to each other, and its a very slow and steady process. I loved the way that this story developed and you see quite a bit of depth in it, a depth that I didn’t know if I would see. But this story satisfied every romantic craving I had, and the ending…oh my…I won’t share a thing, but WOW…totally blew me away.CoverNow I do like a good tattoo, but it has to be done right, not just any normal tattoo will do for me. But this cover is drop dead gorgeous…I mean enough to leave you drooling. Who wouldn’t love this cover and not want to buy it right?Overall ViewQuite a fun and sexy romance that will leave you breathless and in want for more from this author. Deep is a tantalizing love story, of full depth of emotions, steamy passion, a roller coaster of a ride, and a wham bam of a romance!! RIVETING!

A whisper of forbidden love (Anne's little sister), a reluctant to commit loving the jetsetter/band lifestyle bass player. An on again/off again friendship due to band politics. A baby developing.

I really enjoyed this read, as I did all of them and thought pregnancy was dealt with in a realistic fashion. Frankly, I love a romance with a pregnancy, but when the characters don't flip out a little it feels odd to me (unless it's really well done).

I don't know that I understood Ben's character development and motivations. He seemed the strong, silent, scared type, which I didn't know existed. My guess is this book suffers from not just showcasing the next band member a little bit and the prior couple a little bit but also tries to wrap up a series and remind us of all the couples we love. For example, I adore Lena and Jimmy, we all know this, but I'm not invested in them in this book.

I'm still working out my thoughts a bit, so my review is subject to change. Thanks for coming along for the ride for now!

This was a fun addition to the Stage Dive series. Predictable as it might have been, simply based on the series and the genre, it still came through with such humor, heat, and chemistry that it was impossible not to get wrapped up in the story and pulled along for the ride. All told, it fully lived up to the earlier books in the series, and only confirmed that Kylie Scott is one of my favorite contemporary romance writers.

Kylie Scott once again gives me the kind of fun, light, romantic read I want when life is stressful. If I am ever too old to appreciate the appeal of smart, funny, giant blonde rock stars with fingertips roughened by endless plucking of stringed instruments and a commitment to pleasing women you can just shoot me.

I really enjoyed this one but just didn't like the characters as much as the other books in this series but still a nice story if a bit short.

I really enjoyed this one! I am going to keep it a little short and sweet. This book is too good for me to give you too much. You need to see for yourself!

I loved Ben. Poor man. He really does try his best to do what is right. Although, his view of what is right may not necessarily be what Lizzy needs.

Lizzy is fiesty, pregnant and independent. She isn't afraid to do things on her own, and she is willing to do just that.

I think one of the reasons I really liked this story is because I could feel connected to the characters. I could empathize with them when needed, I could be mad at them when needed, and my heart could swell when it should. Sometimes, I feel a little disconnect from the story, but that wasn't the case here.

This story starts out with a doozy of a scene... And it ends with smiles and a warm heart. All of the in-between? Well that's just the meat and potatoes. It's the extra subsistence you need to truly love the story of Lizzy and Ben.

    Lizzy and Ben

I disliked Ben through 7/8 of this story. Poor Man-Child who can't commit. He redeemed himself in the end but I worry about Lizzy with him in the future.

Stage Dive Series was great; I'm sorry to see it end. I'm not sure Deep lived up to the quality of the previous 3 entries. Or, maybe, I just didn't like Ben as much as David, Jimmy and Mal and how they treated their girlfriends/wives.

Whatever, Kylie Scott is still one of my "auto-buy authors!"

Where have I been? I don't know how I missed the previous books from this series, but I've got some serious catching up to do, the books are stand alone reads but the writing and the storyline for Deep was so amazing I expect the previous stories to be just as good. The story between Ben and Lizzy was wonderful. She was a strong willed character and very decisive, and when she found herself in trouble she made up her mind what she wanted to do and went for it. Ben was also very strong minded and a little confused about his needs and what he wanted, but to be fair he tried to protect Lizzy as much as he could and make sure she had everything she needed monetarily wise, he just wasn't there for her emotionally, in the beginning Lizzy was left to cope with the stress on own. The story had me hooked right from the beginning. There's some wonderful characters that have their own story to tell but make great secondary's in this book. The writing at times is intense, I felt like I could hear the music and see the band playing, there's also drama and the attraction between Ben and Lizzy can be felt right through the book and is shown with steamy love scenes.A great story. I highly recommend this book, and give it a 5/5

4.5 "Off Limits = Bean" Stars! Another fantastic addition to the Stage Dive Series! Once again the Stage Dive Band proves that what happens in Vegas, doesn't always stay in Vegas. When that hot passionate night of sinful pleasure also happens to be with Lizzie Rollins, Anne's 21 year-old younger sister and now Mal's sister-in-law, Ben Nicholson, the Stage Dive bass player, stirs up all sorts of new turmoil within the band. First off, it's worth noting that although this is the fourth novel in the Stage Dive Series, it works well as a standalone, as the primary couple's relationship is completely told in this book. So don't fret if you haven't yet read some or all of the prior books. If you have read the prior books, then you will be happy to know that each one of the prior couples continues to play a part in Deep further adding to the complexity of the story line. The night that Anne and Mal (from Play, Book 2 of the Stage Dive Series) got married, theirs' was not the only life that completely changed. Instead, notwithstanding repeated warnings that Anne's little sister, Lizzie, was off limits, Ben and Lizzie finally do the deed that they had been both dying to do, but Ben was too afraid to partake in. Two months later, Lizzie realizes she's pregnant. The sad fact of the matter is, however, that Ben and her have barely spoken since that perfect night. She knows she will keep the "bean", but just how is she supposed to maintain a lifelong "friendship" with the one man that makes her blood burn with passion every time she is near him.Ben will do anything for his band. If that means staying away from the girl he can't seem to erase from his mind then so be it. In any event, he has no illusions of ever settling down, and certainly never plans to become a father, so no good could come of it anyway. When he learns that 1/2 of that ship has already sailed, he is forced to reevaluate his priorities. He knows he will do the right thing by both the "bean" and Lizzie--Mal's and Anne's wrath notwithstanding--but the only way he can be sure to not completely alienate Lizzie with his anti-commitment ways, is to keep their relationship strictly in the friend zone.Of course their undeniable attraction, makes the friend zone, a war zone. Constantly wavering between their chemistry and what Ben considers safe takes its toll. Can their possibly be a happy ending of any sort, much less a HEA, under such hostile conditions? Moreover, will Mal, Ben's best friend, ever forgive him, or will it end up breaking the band?I love how Kylie Scott weaves in the multiple friend story lines, band life realities and romance all into one package. Having previously read Lick, I felt like I was settling in to a familiar cast of characters, somewhat akin to the 90s TV Show "Friends". The underlying romantic tension moreover reminded me a lot of Ross' and Rachel's story from the same TV show. And the hot passion--who knew beards could be so instrumental!--spiced things up to just the right level of heat that I enjoy in my romance reads. All in all, Deep, was a great way to end a very memorable series. All that said, and the blurb disclosure notwithstanding, I wonder if Ms. Scott will not be surprising us with one final addition. Specifically, it seems like she tee'd up a possible relationship between Sam, the Stage Dive head of security, and Martha, Ben's rather spirited, anger inspiring, sister who was Dave's (the hero in Lick) first love. I, for one, sure hope we will get one more taste of the Stage Dive world; and I can easily see how Martha could inspire one fiery read! Source: Review copy provided in exchange for an honest review
