About this audiobook

Tattoo artist Raven Smith is blunt and hard, broken and jaded, dark and beautiful. While she doesn't hide her painful past, she does keep a wall around her heart. She's free sexually-but no one gets to the real Raven beneath the prickly exterior.

With a voice like smoke, Jonah Warner is a smooth-talking, highly successful attorney, with a body that should never be hidden by a suit. He's the kind of man who never takes no for an answer and always gets what he wants. And what he wants is Raven. She's a survivor, and he finds that incredibly alluring.

Jonah gets under her skin in a way Raven has never experienced. He makes her break all her rules-including her no-monogamy rule.

But when a figure from Raven's past shows up at the tattoo parlor and drops a bomb into her life, their relationship will face the ultimate challenge.

Drawn Together, the sixth installment in Lauren Dane's Brown Family series, is an emotionally and sexually intense novel between a tough as nails tattoo artist and an über wealthy lawyer.

Right from their first sexy as sin encounter, Jonah Warner challenges Raven Smith. Sexually, he pushes her to embrace her (very surprising) submissiveness. Emotionally, he shoves past all of her carefully built and well-maintained barriers. With Jonah breaking all of her rules, Raven even agrees to a monogamous relationship. But when her past collides with her present and shocking revelations turn her world upside down, will Raven trust Jonah with the secrets of her past and ultimately, her heart?

There is absolutely no doubt that Raven is a strong and well-adjusted woman. She unapologetically embraces her sexuality and she is upfront that she is not into monogamy. She is also loyal and loving and turns into a big old pile of mush when it comes to her friends and their adorably cute kids. Raven is honest to a fault and there is no room for game playing in her life. She has no difficulty speaking her mind and if someone needs to be taken down a notch or two, Raven won't hesitate to do it.

Jonah comes from a privileged and wealthy background but he is surprisingly down to earth. He is rock solid and amazingly comfortable in his own skin. Jonah knows what he wants and likes, and he goes after it. Does he sometimes push Raven too hard? Absolutely. But he also recognizes when he needs to back off and give her some much needed space. Jonah not only gets her, he accepts her, warts and all.

Raven has some serious issues in her past. By all appearances, she has made peace with her childhood and moved on. But the closer she gets to Jonah and the more he presses her to open up, the more obvious it becomes that she has not really dealt with her problems. Her "rules" are a defense mechanism that Jonah may not understand or like, but he does respect her need for them. Jonah becomes Raven's catalyst for change over the course of Drawn Together and once she is finally able to fully reveal her secrets, true healing finally takes place.

There is a very strong BDSM element in Drawn Together. Raven and Jonah jump into a sexual relationship very early on with Jonah taking the dominant role. Jonah knows nothing about Raven or her past when he puts her into a submissive role and while the sex is hot, I did have a problem with this one area of the storyline. Unless you know upfront that both partners are into this type of sex, a serious discussion about limits and safe words should take place before restraining and spanking your partner.

Friends and family play a strong role in Drawn Together. Several characters from previous novels in the series make guest appearances. These scenes are quite heartwarming and beautifully showcase Raven's softer side. Raven's interactions with Jonah's family are a mixed bag of well-placed barbs, out and out confrontations and a few aww, sweet moments. Pretty much a good representation of everyday life that make you laugh, seethe and cheer depending on the situation.

A great read with a colorful cast of lovable characters, Drawn Together is a vibrant story of healing that has a great deal of heart and plenty of deliciously naughty sex. Old and new fans of Lauren Dane are sure to enjoy this latest addition to the Brown Family series.

I was so happy that Raven got her happily ever after. A wonderful read.

Very good! I used to hate how Raven was in the previous book, specially in Brody's book, but I think this was her redemption and I'm so glad that we got to see her closure in a novel all of her own. Jonah was just the thing she needed to feel like the confident and strong minded woman that she really is. Can't stress enough how sad her story is and how amazing it was that she overcame all that life threw at her. The only thing that made me not give this a full 5 star review was the BDSM in the story, but even that didn't bother me that much.

I received this review through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Let me just start off my saying this book is H-O-T!!! The words literally burn off the pages, making you sweat, swoon, and simultaneously beg for more. I am not sure why I didn’t learn this lesson a long time ago, but when you are reading series, never pick your favorite couple until the end. I thought going into this, that Erin, Todd, and Ben were my favorites, from book one in The Brown Siblings series. No other couples in that family that I have now adopted myself into could top them. Whew……was I EVER wrong!

Before we go any further, know that this is part of a series. And while each book is technically a standalone, you should read them in succession as characters in previous books appear throughout the later books. Not only that, but Lauren Dane has a spin-off series called Delicious. I did not read that before reading this book, and I wished I had. I don’t think it will necessarily spoil anything for you, but there were a few small things I was confused about. I will definitely be going back to read them in the near future.

So, back to the book I came here to rave about. Drawn Together is the scorching story of Raven and Jonah. Raven we have previously met in the other Brown Sibling books. If you have devoured them like I have you know she is a witch with a capital B! But she is okay with that, embraces it and wears it like a badge of honor in fact. Even though we don’t see her a lot in the other books, we can see through her walls and know there is a fiercely protective woman in there, just itching to be loved. The family that Raven was born from is crap. Plain and simple. But the family that she chose? Well they have proven time and time again that they will always be there for her.

Enter Jonah Warner, all 200 pounds of sexy, delicious alpha male, wrapped up in tattoos and a suit. He is the brother of a character introduced in the Delicious series, and as I haven’t read those yet, I was not familiar with him. But let me tell you. You will get to know him REALLY fast! If I were to show you a checklist for things that make a sexy, swoon worthy alpha male, single dad would be near the top. So naturally Jonah had me from page one!

I won’t go into too many specific details, for you should discover them all on your own. But the common themes of family, friends, and sex reigned throughout. Fans of the other books in the series will NOT be disappointed! One last thing before I go, that I MUST point out. I absolutely LOVE how Lauren Dane writes strong woman in her stories! These are all women that have been through some of the most horrendous things that one can endure, and yet they are not only kicking, but standing tall. They are all with alpha males, but their men only compliment them, not overpower them.

A solid 5 star book for me. My favorite in the series!

Re-read 9/13 - even though I've read this several times I stayed up until 2am to read it again. So good.

    _______

My reaction to this book was wholly unexpected. Dane hasn't disappointed me yet, but I didn't think I'd love Raven as much as I did. I also didn't think Brody could be topped as my favorite hero of this series, but I think Jonah managed it.

    Absolutely fabulous.
