      The book was very fast paced.

      Movie people have come to town and are holding an audition for the starring role in a new movie! Jenna's BF Bea is trying out and gets Jenna to tag along and try out too. Jenna's over protective mom won't know as she will be at work. Jenna figures why not, as she won't win the role since she is not tall, thin, blonde and blue eyed. But that is not how it goes.

      Jenna finds herself whisked off to a romantic and distant kingdom to star as a princess in a movie! But it turns out that she is a stand-in...for a real princess! Why do they need a stand-in? Where is the real princess? Why does it seem there is moe going on than is being told her?

      Meanwhile, Bea feels that something is up! Jenna doesn't answer her texts and hasn't been to school in days. Jenna's mom is also missing. Did they really leave early to go on vacation?

      Rebels, plots and secrets all part of Jenna's adventure in a beautiful country that is not what it really seems. Along the way, she also learns the answers to questions she has asked.

      A good pace and good suspense. The characters are believable and interesting.

      Didn't like this book. It had a very confusing plot and lots of big words...

      Imagine that you are the spitting image of a real live princess! Jenna "auditions" for a role of the Princess of Scandia, flies with the producer and director to Scandia and impersonates the princess at her birthday celebration. She begins to connect the dots that all isn't as it seems in this seemingly perfect country. This German to English translation had numerous problems. The reader is almost monotone while character accents and voices don't feel authentic. It wasn't until I was well into the story that I figured out that Jenna probably lived in Great Britan. I didn't know until disc 4 if one of the story lines took place in the past or in the present. Third, there were many confusing plots, lack of character and setting details, and text choices that were difficult to belive or follow. First, there no other European country that speaks the same English as Jenna's country. Next, no 14 year-old-girl would believe a major movie role is won without having to actually try-out . Nor would she blithly go abraod with strangers without talking to her mother or stay longer with only text message approvals. I also find it unlikely that the same 14-year-old could not comprehend the definition of "discrimination" but immediatly saw that "traitor" was misspelled. Girls on blogs loved it, but I didn't. Not recommended. Girls ages 12-14.

      The Princess Plot is an O.K. book. Jenna is barely aloud to do anything. She cant stay out late, cant sleepover at anyones house, and can't audition for a role in a movie. Some people came to her school asking people to sign up for an audition to be in a movie. Jenna's BFFL is perfect for the role. Tall, blonde with blue eyes, and skinny. Jenna is just an ordinary brown haired, brown eyes, a little bit chubby girl. She would never ,ake the role. But Bea persisted that Jenna at least try out just for the fun of it. Jenna's mo would never let her try out. But she did work late.....no. Jenna would not do it. Well, its only an audition and fast, and she would never get the part. I'll go. Jenna meets Bea at the audition, and Jenna suprisingly gets the part. Jenna is going to be the lead princess in the movie! But mom would never let her. During the audition, she had to let the helpers for the audition hold her phone, so she went to get her phone to ask her mom. Meanwhile Jenna's mom gets a call and someone says that Jenna has been hit by a car and is in a hospital kinda far away, so Jenna's mom gets in the car and when she gets to the "hospital" (there isnt just a rode that dead ends), some people capture her. Jenna gets her phone and calls her mom but she never answers, so she just texted her. Jenna's mom replied in less than a minute and said she could! Jenna was so excitied! Then the movie people tell her that the movie is in Scandia. Where is Scandia she thought. She had never been out of the state... or even the city! Now she was going to leave the country! Once she gets there everything turns out ok. She gets to stay in this big white old house with so many rooms. She gets to be a princess, who would have known?! They put on her a blonde wig, blue contact lenses, and a princess dress. She dint really understand why they just could have picked a blonde girl with blue eyes thats skinny, but then at the audition they said that she was special inside. They knew she had better talent that any of the other girls.So Jenna just went along with it without questions. Jenna just thought that movie people new something about talent and finding people. All she had to do for her test before the movie was to go up on a balcony looking the like princess of Scandia on her birthday. There was a whole crowd looking at their "princess". The movie people told her that the princess was sad devastated that her dad has died not to long ago, so she didn't want to go in front of the crowd, so that where she comes in. Meanwhile Be a was worried about Jenna. She hadn't seen her today at school. She would have texted her or something. She watched some television and was looking at the news. The princess of Scandia was waving from a balcony. Her face looked like Jennas thought Bea. It has to be her without the blonde wig and blue eyes. It so looked like Jenna! She told her parents but they didn't believe her. She knew it was Jenna. It had to be. It ends up that the princess ran away. Norlin, her uncle, was evil. He has taken over since the kings death and wants to make war against North and South Scandia. The king isn't dead. Norlin has captured the king and locked him somewhere hidden so that they could kill him later when their plan worked out. The princess and her team take Jenna and Jenna decides to be on their side. They end up fighting against Norlin, who ends up to be Jenna's father. Jenna does not want to be Norlins daughter. Finally they find the king. All is going back to normal in Scandia.
