This is my favorite in the Sisterchicks books. A lighthearted fun romp, chick fun down under. The descriptions of the water and bays just take you there! These books are great mood boosters!!!!

I reread this one in anticipation for an upcoming trip Down Under. The book is a sweet look at the friendship that forms between two women in Wellington, New Zealand. They are both originally from California and their unexpected meeting leads to fun adventures around New Zealand and Australia. This was a perfect choice to read before my trip because Gunn describes certain areas in detail, obviously from her own experience.

My favorite in the series, mostly because of how funny it is. Tons of Lord of the Rings references (I am not a LOTR fan, having neither read the books nor seen the movies, but I found even those funny anyway. Run over any Hobbits lately?!?). The scene with Evan- the- punter alone is worth the cost of the book! When her husband is temporarily transfered to New Zealand, Kathleen befriends ex-Californian Jill. The two women explore NZ and Australia while helping each other see where God is leading them in this season of their lives.
