About this audiobook
Multimillionaire casino owner Ryan McKay needs a bride in a hurry, and the one he chose has just backed out, which means that he could lose his company within hours. He doesn't know the meaning of the word failure, so he's scrambling for Plan B and not happy that the ridiculous terms of his grandfather's will have backed him into a corner. So when his shy but dedicated executive assistant Faith Lewis tells him that she'll do everything in her power to make sure that he succeeds, she's shocked to realize that Plan B equals her-in other words, he wants to marry her.
Faith reluctantly agrees, burying the heavy crush she's had on Ryan for years. But the shy virgin is going to have to live with, sleep with, and reveal so many secrets to the enigmatic man who sees this as a logical business deal. Faith's been holding out for love, but that four-letter word isn't in Ryan's vocabulary. However, love very rarely follows the rules of business or logic, and this business deal is about to get very personal.Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved it. Glad there was a shorter period of angst than in some rom coms. Well written. The pace of story was perfect. Elizabeth Hart gave believable voice to h and H. i wish there had.been an epilogue.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Nothing Personal is the story of Ryan McKay and his personal assistant, Faith Lewis. Ryan's grandfather has left a will with a very unusual codicil: Ryan must marry and, with his wife, conceive a child before the end of the year or Ryan will lose his company to his partying cousin, James. When the woman that Ryan planned to marry backs out, he must turn to plan B, which is his personal assistant. When Faith agrees to marry him, Ryan sees their relationship as nothing more than a business deal, but Faith has always had feelings for her boss that she has kept carefully hidden. Now she must spend the next year holding her emotions in check to keep from being deeply hurt if she allows herself to fall in love with Ryan.
The marriage of convenience certainly isn't a new plot device, but Nothing Personal is written with enough emotion to make it a light, quick, enjoyable read. Overall a good story to read on the beach while sipping a cold, fruity drink. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Ok, so she is actually gorgeous and one of those silly "take off her glasses and pony tail and she transforms from plain to beautiful" heroines. But, she had all the insecurity about being plain so this book ends up on that shelf. There was a bit of angst and overall I liked it.

Synopsis
Ryan McKay is in a bind - he must marry or lose his inheritance and his fiancee has left him at the alter. Step in Faith Lewis, Ryan's demure and devoted executive assistant, who agrees to marry him despite her reservations as Ryan has made it perfectly clear that this is a business agreement and nothing personal...
Review
Short and sweet - reminded me of the category romances from my teens.
The plot is a typical office romance - a gorgeous and wealthy boss marries his ugly duckling secretary who ultimately turns into a swan.
The characters are likeable but lack a certain amount of depth. Faith, for example, is kind and thoughtful with self-esteem issues stemming from her mother's put-downs. Unfortunately, no background on this is forthcoming. Ryan is sexy and charming, and while I loved the way he cares for and protects Faith, the information on his loveless upbringing is very superficial.
The romance builds nicely with a couple of sexy scenes although they are not as spicy as they could have been (Burton obviously improves in this area in later books).
Overall, a light and fluffy read that is just the thing if you need to a break from more intense stories. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Really more like 3.25 stars. I'm guessing "Nothing Personal" is one of Jaci Burton's earlier novels. The story is one I would have expected to read in a series romance like Harlequin or Silhouette instead of one published by Samhain. If you're looking for erotica, don't go here. The sex is hot, but the only thing erotic about it is the language used to describe it. Not that I didn't enjoy this book, it was just not at all what I was expecting.Ryan needs to marry and procreate to keep the company his grandfather willed him. He was raised in an unfeeling environment and considers this marriage just another business deal. When his latest fiance back out he decides to try with the one woman who hasn't yet let him down, his assistant.Faith has loved Ryan since the day she met him while interviewing for her job. There's nothing she won't do for him (silly twit). When he asks her to marry him, she quickly realizes this is just another business deal for him, but it will likely leave her heart in tatters. If you need more on the plot, just pick up any serial romance about the assistant (secretary) who doesn't think she's pretty (but turns into a knockout) and how she tames her unfeeling boss who can't resist her gentle passion.
