About this audiobook

Jonah and Katherine embark on a chilling journey to discover the Northwest Passage in this new installment of the New York Times bestselling series that brings history to life.

Teenager John Hudson vanished from history in 1611: While searching for the Northwest Passage, mutineers cast him and his explorer father adrift in the icy waters of James Bay. When Jonah and Katherine meet John in the past, moments before the mutiny is to occur, they think it will be easy to rescue him from history.

But the unexpected appearance of a man who claims to know a secret route to the Northwest Passage complicates matters. He seems serious about leading the ship further west, but Jonah and Katherine grow more and more suspicious—and more and more frustrated that they can’t quite remember the actual history or Canadian geography. And when their former enemies, Gary and Hodge, show up, apparently having escaped from time prison, Jonah and Katherine understand that a lot more is at stake than just one boy’s life. …

Margaret Peterson Haddix

Margaret Peterson Haddix grew up on a farm in Ohio. As a kid, she knew two girls who had the exact same first, middle, and last names and shared the same birthday—only one year apart—and she always thought that was bizarre. As an adult, Haddix worked as a newspaper reporter and copy editor in Indiana before her first book, Running Out of Time, was published. She has since written more than forty books for kids and teens, including the Greystone Secrets series, the Shadow Children series, the Missing series, the Children of Exile series, and lots of stand-alones. Haddix and her husband, Doug, now live in Columbus, Ohio, where they raised their two kids. You can learn more about her at haddixbooks.com.

A romp through 1611 is the highlight of this 4th book in The Missing series, as Jonah and Katherine battle Second's dark intentions again in order to rescue their friends trapped in 1600. Haddix does a good job of bringing to light the mysteries involved in the mutiny of 1611 which left explorer Henry Hudson adrift.

As expected, this novel was also full of surprises and was so thrilling. It's the fourth book of the collection and the story started when they arrived in 1611 from 1600. Katherine and Jonah were in Henry Hudson's ship and they had to fix the past as well as the future to save JB and their friends. However, without the elucidator and JB there to tell them what to do, it was a pain for Katherine and Jonah but in the end they fix time and they all go back to their original time. I LOVE THIS BOOK >< now i'm going to start reading the fifth book Caught!

Torn is the fourth book to the thrilling Missing Childrens series. Jonah and Katherine are in the time of the famous John Hudson. Jonah has to play the part of John Hudson's son. Supposedly, the real John Hudson's son is missing. Kathrine aids Jonah through this wild ride and while staying in the shaddows(she is invisible). But of course, Second makes everything worse. Second comes in and TEARS everything apart. What does he do you may ask? You will have to find out yourself. Haddix fans will not be disapointed if they are looking for drama. Action wise, I think that her previous books have more. But hey, I know i couldn't write more than ten books like she has!
