      Archer Portmaine is an investigator who is working with the Duke to foil a plot against the Crown. During this adventure he meets and falls in love with Morgan James. Morgan is deaf, but has recently undergone treatments that have restored part of her hearing. She has fallen in love with Archer, but that fact that she could again lose her hearing makes her break off their relationship. The main characters are very likable and are joined by characters from previous books. The plot is interesting and fun. This is a quick easy read that leaves you with big smile. I loved the ending!
