This is not really a book of devotionals. It is actually just excerpts from the author's other works that are very loosely paired with scriptures. There are some that don't even mention God or faith. I started this book after having just finished one of the author's other works and was immediately disappointed by recognizing large portions of the text. I'll admit I felt a little bit cheated. These excerpts were not even all that thoughtfully selected. The scriptures often were only tenuously connected to the reading's topic. I would recommend this for person who has never read the author before and wants to see if they'll like her writing. If you've read any of her other books, this will all sound very familiar.

I found this to be anecdotal and a lot of cliche. I have also found this to be very geared towards mothers of young children who have money and can travel. Scriptures only mildly related to daily thoughts, and sometimes not at all. There was also a lot of repetition. I would not have left a review, except two times she specifically talks about not leaving “ratings”.
