He's a charming con man and she's a dedicated FBI agent, and they're about to drive each other crazy . . . again!

The FBI had one demand when they secretly teamed up Special Agent Kate O'Hare with charming con man Nicolas Fox-bring down the world's most-wanted and untouchable felons. This time it's the brutal leader of a global drug-smuggling empire.  The FBI doesn't know what their target looks like, where he is, or how to find him, but Nick Fox has a few tricks up his sleeve to roust this particular Knipschildt chocolate-loving drug lord.

From the streets of Nashville to the back alleys of Lisbon, from the rooftops of Istanbul to the middle of the Thames, Nick and Kate chase their mark. When they find themselves pitted against a psychopathic bodyguard and a Portuguese enforcer who gets advice from a pickled head, they decide it's time to enlist some special talent-talent like a machete-wielding Somali pirate, a self-absorbed actor, an Oscar-winning special effects artist, and Kate's father Jake, a retired Special Forces operative. Together they could help make this Fox and O'Hare's biggest win yet . . . if they survive.

This is the fourth full edition book in this series and I think it was the best one yet. FBI agent Kate O'Hare is contacted while in the midst of a sting to inform her the Nicolas Fox (an FBI informant) has committed a burglary. Kate quickly realizes that it was not Nick and he is being framed. After 2 more burglaries in Turkey and France, the imposter is captured. It turns out to be Nick's protege and she is trying to get his attention. Her brother has been murdered by a Columbian Kingpin and she wants Nick to help her catch him. Nick and Kate embark on "The Job" to run a sting to capture this kingpin. The problem is that he has had extensive plastic surgery and no one knows what he looks like or where he lives. Kate and Nick come up with an elaborate plan to figure out who he is and how to capture him. With the help of Jake, Kate's father, Willa, Tom and others from the first two books, we go on an adventure of laughs, disguises, high tech tricks and risks. A fun read that kept me hooked until the end.

3rd in the Fox and O'Hare series. This one has another thief impersonating Nick. They find out who it is and is one of his former protege's. They find her and set about making a mark of a drug lord who has had total reconstructive surgery. The plan is to fool him into financing the salvage of a sunken treasure ship. And thus starts the whirlwind world tour of the book. Fast, easy fun read.

This book was a pleasure to read. The story was exciting, and there was never a break in the action. I loved the interaction between Nick and Kate. They have a fun relationship with just the right amount of sexual tension. I really enjoyed how the con was set in motion. Bringing in all the people to do their part in the con was very interesting. Every character was quirky and fun to read. This is book 3 in the series, but if you have not read the first two books, you will still enjoy this one.

I received a free copy of this book from Net Galley.

    fast-paced adventure

After reading this hilarious, fun story, I want to start at the beginning of the series and read them in order. The tight-knit band of cops and robbers works to achieve their goals, bending truth and the rules as they go. Witty dialogue, quirky characters, and international art theft combine in this fast-paced adventure by Evanovich and Goldberg. Fans of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum will enjoy Kate.

This was the romantic cop meets con-artist story I didn't realize I was missing until I read it. I love how they constantly try to one-up each other, and I really love all the secondary characters. It reminds me of Vicky Bliss and John Smythe, one of my favorite couples. (Provided by publisher)

I would like to thank Random House Publishing Group - Bantam Dell and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.I always forget in between books just how much fun Nick and Kate are. Nick, the roguish criminal who is now working for the FBI, but still has that streak of bad boy to him, with a lot of upper class as well. Always needing to stay in the best hotels, and have the best things. And Kate, who tries to be cut and dry FBI, but is still almost falling for Nick, and almost against her own wishes helps him out with these cons. They make quite a team...and it makes for quite a bit of comedy when they get together.I love the writing these two authors have together. I have loved every one of these books so far, and this one did not in any way disappoint. The trick is to remember that this is supposed to be comedic and not necessarily based on real life. When I can do that, then I really enjoy the ride.Yes, it is getting a tiny bit formulaic. Come across the bad guy, plot a con for the bad guy, bring together the team, and take down the bad guy. But it's a different plot each time, and it's not gotten boring yet. It's still proving interesting, so it didn't feel formulaic until just now sitting here thinking back on the book. It in no way detracted from my enjoyment of the book. I actually found myself reading through it very quickly, and was surprised at how quickly it went by. I was just engrossed in what I was reading and didn't notice the turning of the pages, I guess. If you've read the other books in this series, I definitely recommend this one. If not, I recommend starting at the beginning, with The Heist.I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and I am never compensated for my reviews.

This is such a fun series. Great main characters, interesting plots, lots of action and humor, globe-trotting, and a collection of fun supporting characters. And some sweet sexual tension. The Job is no exception - it has all of the above. This time, Nick & Kate move from Nashville to Lisbon to Istanbul to London in pursuit of their bad guys. There are plot points that require a bit of suspension of disbelief, but that's what makes these books so much fun. They're perfect for when I'm looking for a light, entertaining read, and I've enjoyed each one.

This is the third book in the "Fox and O'Hare" series, and although I have read all of Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" books this is the first one I have read from this series. It did not disappoint. This series revolves around a con man that is working with the FBI (It reminds me a bit of the show White Collar). It is a fun light read that gets you laughing. I enjoyed the read and will go back to read the first two.

4 starsThis is a fun series. There are cons to capture bad guys with Nick Fox a thief con artist and FBI Agent Kate O'Hare working together. Most of all authorities don't know that Nick is working for the FBI.Kate is the only person to catch Nick before and everyone but a few think she is still chasing him.Someone is setting up Nick as a thief for new jobs. It is ruining his deal. Kate believes him but her boss is wondering about him so she is chasing the thefts all across the world. There are cons, drama, fun characters, chases , destruction and humor it makes for a exciting story. You never know who to trust or what will happen next. It is a clean read too.Kate is a strong character she is smart, single FBI Agent. Her father is one of the people who know that she and Nick are working together.I was given this ebook to read by Net Galley

I love this book! It's like Oceans 11 and Indiana Jones all wrapped into one. The quirky, funny voice Evanovich uses in her books is toned down a bit, but her style shines through. Add the element of mystery and intrigue from Lee Goldbergs books and they become the dynamic duo. It's a lighthearted look at fantastic heists and the world of underhanded con artists and criminals. A seriously non-serious look at devious criminal minds which underlying g sparks of romance. I truly enjoyed reading The Job.

Not my favorite of the three but I still really enjoyed this installment of the O'Hare/Fox series. I think these story lines work better when there is more 'con' and less violence. Much more fun that way.

I did enjoy my brief visits with the typical cast of characters and spending time with Kate and Nick again. The small pre-story and post-story were wonderful ways to start and end my visit.

I really think this team of autors works and since I've already read all of the Evanovich books it looks like I need to start the Monk series!

**Thanks to Netgalley for an electronic copy of this book for review.

I have read other books by Janet but this is my first Fox and O'Hare novel. After finishing this book I will have to go back and check out books one and two in this series. I really loved the witty banter between Kate and Nick. They make a good duo. Nick is a man of many faces and surprises. This is why I liked him. I never knew what he would do next. Kate could stand up to Nick and dish out just as much as he gave her. So they are equally matched. They kind of reminded me of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in the movie, The Tourist. Kate and Nick because they worked so well together as the story progressed they seemed to pick up speed. Each one trying to catch the other one and maybe up each other too. However Nick had the upper hand. All the different names that he came up with were funny. Another thing that I liked about this book is that you can not tell where one author stopped and the other one picked up. The heists were fine but how Kate and Nick solved it was the entertaining part. I almost hope that they never hook up because the cat and mouse game these two play scores big.

The first Stephanie Plum novels by Evanovich were great fun, but devolved into the same plot with slightly different minor characters and little change. I gave up on them. But I thought this newer series might fit the fill for my lighter reading. I hoped the addition of author Lee Goldberg would help. I was disappointed. This book does not have the silliness of the Plum series, but it didn't have anything to draw me in. The characters were more caricatures, insubstantial cut-outs. The plot was stale, nothing that I haven't read, with slight variations, before. Nothing to set it apart from too many others of its ilk. I just didn't care. There was nothing offensive about it, nothing too graphic or over the top. It was just too easy to forget. It took me four days to read this easy, less than 300 page novel. And that is because I would read a few pages, get bored, and walk away. I won't be reading more in this series.I was given an advance readers copy of this book for review.

Here we go again and loving it. Fox and O'Hare entertaining us with the double entendres and incredible feats of leaping tall buildings at a single bound. You have to be willing to suspend reality to love it. If you love Bones with Tempe and Seeley or Jennifer Garner and George Clooney this series is for you. Fun reading perfect for a beach read or a long flight.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review. This is a bog standard thriller. All of the Evanovich boxes are checked -- action, sex appeal, crime, weapons and girls kicking ass. Unfortunately, one box remains unchecked, which is color. What I love the Plum books for is their color. You don't just feel for the characters, you feel for the extras and you feel for New Jersey. Very little of that here. The story is about a con being pulled on an international baddie, with the help of the heroine's crew and her hero, a dashing thief and conman. The crew is colorful in their own right, but I wasn't moved to care about them. For the most part, their eccentricities were either plot devices or, in the case of the overactor, annoying. The plot itself is slick, perhaps too slick, as catching the crooks is easy for the heroine. It's well-written and it moves well, but overall, it wasn't up to the standard I expect from this author

Special Agent Kate O'Hare and her debonair (but secret) partner Nicolas Fox return in another fast paced adventure, this time involving both an art heist and drug smugglers. The action moves quickly across the globe, settling for the big reveal near Portugal. The authors do a great job of keeping the romantic tension alive, similar to any good tv show, we probably don't really want them to be together. I liked that Kate's father Jake made a return, and for a bit longer storyline. He and Willie are solid secondary characters in the series thus far.

I'm a big Stephanie Plum fan, and I was also a devoted Monk watcher when the show was airing, so Evanovich and Goldberg teaming up was very appealing to me. I was expecting Evanovich's snappy flirty dialogue (which I got) and Goldberg's mystery and flair for action (which I also got), but somehow the combination didn't quite work as well as I was hoping. The scenes between Kate and Nick were a lot of fun and very reminiscent of Stephanie and Morelli from the earlier books in the Stephanie Plum series, I just wish there had been more of that interaction throughout the book. That's not to knock the action/suspense plot, it's good too. I liked the motley crew of characters who Kate and Nick enlist to carry out their big con to snare a drug lord (it was very Ocean's Eleven), and the pace never slowed. I guess my issue came down to medium. I think I would have LOVED seeing this story as a TV show or even a movie, because in a lot of ways it read like a screenplay. The writing was very straightforward and almost plain. When Kate was fighting or dodging bullets, the writing didn't exactly bring the scene to life. Lots of cool things happen, and again, Evanovich's dialogue was great fun, but there wasn't enough here to make me want to dive into this series like I continue to do with her Stephanie Plum series. But if a TV show or movie is in the works, I'm sold.

So good! Just like the last one, and just like I have come to expect from Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg, this book is action packed from the first page, has plenty of heat between the 2 main characters and a gripping storyline. The writing is awesome and witty as before, and the plot is believable and smart.

A joy to read, can't wait for the next one.

This an early entry in the Fox and O'Hare series. At first I was sure I had read because I thought I had read all the books in the series. But once I started reading it, I wasn't sure. Of course if I had read it in 2015 that's a lot of years ago. So... I enjoyed reading it (again). The characters are charming, the plot was cute and it was a fast read.

The Job is an excellent Fox and O'Hare adventure. Whether or not it is believable does not matter because the story is just good. One gets to travel to interesting places in one's mind with this book. The book is highly recommended if one likes adventure, suspense, good guys vs. bad guys smattered with a little humor. Therefore four stars were awarded to The Job. Enjoy.

Prepare to suspend almost all reality (the author surely has!) in the latest Kate O’Hare/Nicholas Fox episodes. This story begins with Nick up to his old tricks stealing artifacts. Kate is summoned to help in several countries because of her extensive work chasing Nick, and immediately determines that someone, posing as Nick, is actually committing the crimes. Can she figure out what is going on? With Nick’s help she does. But, wait. There is a second big con in the story, as Kate and Nick together, aided by an assortment of Kate’s father’s friends and others who have helped in the past, go after a major drug lord. This story is both hysterical and interesting. Once again, the authors have given us a tale to beat all tales, one that surpasses the other two in the series and one that will not cease to amaze, entertain and fascinate the reader from the very first page. I caught myself laughing out loud many times as I read the witty and engaging story of how these two unlikely partners pulled off their latest capers. However, do not expect the ways these two operate to fall within any normal boundaries. Suspend all ideas of normal ways to do things. The authors obviously have. Nevertheless, the story is so well done that the reader cannot help but relish the story that will leave him/her hankering for more. I am now eagerly waiting to see just what these two will get themselves into next time. Kate and Nick also begin the move to a new level in their relationship in this book, and I will be interested in seeing how this develops. I do not know much about the other author, but I have read all of Janet Evanovich’s books. She only gets better. She is a master at weaving an intriguing tale with many, many twists and turns with a hearty dose of humor and subtlety amazes and entertains the reader. I am sure all Jane Evanovich followers will enjoy this book as much as I did. In addition, any reader looking for a good book, with lots of story, humor and good writing will enjoy it also. I received this from the publisher through NetGalley to read and provide and honest review.

Another fun romp with Fox and O'Hare! I really enjoy the humor and banter between the two, along with all the quirky people they pick up along the way. Though this one was a little on the short side for me, it was still a fun read and a great addition to the series.
