About this audiobook
A few hours ago, Sherry Carne would have sworn that vampires didn’t exist. That’s before rogue immortals rampage through her store, leaving bloody chaos (literally) in their wake. The kicker comes when Sherry learns that one of the vamps on the bad guys’ trail may be her life mate. Her head says it’s impossible. The rest of her takes one look at Basileios Argeneau and has much more interesting ideas.
Whatever Basil expected in a life mate, funny, outspoken Sherry isn’t it. But mind-blowing chemistry and instinct don’t lie. They tell him something else, too—that Sherry’s connection to the immortal world goes deeper than she knows. And that she’s in the kind of danger only Basil can save her from—if she’ll just trust him, now and forever . . .

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I was given a ARC copy in exchange for a honest review, thanks to Avon Books and Edelweiss for the opportunity. Sherry Carne, never imagined that she would be drawn into a world of danger, suspense, mystery and vampires. She is busy working on her taxes, when a teen girl burst into her office, with vampires after her, and they make a run for and barely make it out of there alive. She then meets a man she will learn is her life mate, Basil Argeneau. Basil has lived for centuries, and lived when they first lived in Atlantis. Has had many children, and already had one life mate. But that was eons ago, and feels more alone than ever. He keeps busy with keeping their kind supported financially, being a member of the council, and bugging his brother Lucian. He definitely keeps himself entertained, but always goes home alone. When he is asked to guard Sherry, he finds that he can’t read her, and with other signs, he knows that she is his life mate. A woman with wit and humor, that is driven and not afraid to speak her mind. As they discover each other, and the danger circling them, there is a secret from Sherry’s past that could hinder everything. The Immortal Who Loved Me is the 21st installment of the series. And my, I can’t believe how this series has grown. I remember when the first book came out, and Sands introduced me to vampire romance (yes before Twilight came to being), and I fell in love. Her writing is still just as phenomenal as it was back then. It is always fun to see those earlier couples take a role in the later books. And my favorite couple, Lucian and Leigh, definitely take a major role. Which I loved, and with the hero being Lucian’s brother, who definitely see that brotherly affection, and some horrible yet entertaining teasing (but Lucian so deserves it.). Well this story was quite a fun ride, and I had such an enjoyable time with this one. Now it wasn’t as good as some of the other books of the series, but I really liked seeing more of the teenage girl Samantha, and we see the old villain Leo. He still isn’t dead yet. The characters were so good for each other, and I loved this pair. Well I have loved every pair of this series. However, I found Sherry and Basil a bit more unique. One being with how old Basil is, he is one of the oldest of their kind, and has waited hundreds of years for a life mate. And there were some twists to his character that I didn’t see coming. I won’t reveal them, but trust me; you will love him even more. Quite a hoot when Sherry learns of them though. Sherry is a heroine you can love. She is strong willed, passionate, and a fighter. I loved her spirit and her humor. This story is a fun vampire romance, with all the humor and wit you can expect from Lynsay Sands, enough adventure and intrigue to keep you at the edge of your seat, and the writing so engaging you wonder where all the time has gone while reading. Guaranteed that you get lost in this story and fully involved in this story of romance, passion and suspense. PAGE TURNER!!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/54 ½ of 5 StarsHuman, Sherry Carne, is quickly thrown into the world of vampires when some rogues attack her store. If that is enough, she discovers that one of the good vampires, Basileios Argeneau, might be her life mate.Sherry was really easy for me to relate to. She owns a housewares store, and I used to design housewares. Before that, she worked for a building contractor, and I used to design building products and market them. So I appreciated her taste and felt a kinship to her. She is easy going and takes things in stride, at least externally. I like how she handles all that is thrown at her. Her internal babbling, which most of the immortals could hear, were very amusing. I enjoyed Basil. He is old and acts as if he is from a different time period, which he is being born in 1529 BC. I appreciate what he did to survive his sanity throughout the years. He is very formal. I love that he welcomes Sherry’s humor. Her being from a younger generation is beneficial for him.The Immortal Who Loved Me has a great plot with tons of details. There are multiple relevant events going on throughout the story. Lynsay Sands does a considerable job at explain history and physical details of the vampires. The story has a great flow and is hard to put down. There are a lot of paranormal and vampire stories out there. The Immortal Who Loved Me has an original feel that stands out among the masses.Complimentary copy provided by Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Exciting Listen!
Another captivating story with lots of action, engaging characters, lusty life mates, and enough humor to make the graphic bad stuff palatable. Bad things happen but my overall feel for the book is upbeat.
I highly recommend this book and this series. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was enthralled by this book from the first chapter. I am determined to read ebooks in this series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The Immortal Who Loved Me delivers a new storyline with a little mystery, humor, and a sweet romance.
I loved the start. Sherry won me over on the very first page. I liked her and liked that she had a good head on her shoulders. Stephanie, a little girl we have seen pop in and out of the books, was a nice addition. The poor girl has it ruff. I liked her interaction with Sherry and loved her comparing lifemates to pizza when explaining things to Sherry. Made me laugh.
The humor was remarkable in this one. I loved the miss pronounce of Basil (pronounced Baw-zil). Took me by surprise and had me smiling. Then there was Bricker he was kind of an ass in this one, but boy did he have me laughing when he spit out all the different names for a man's penis. Yes, there are several names to call a man's penis and that whole scene was hilarious. Really, you need to read it.
Basil was adorable. He totally screwed up explaining things and had Sherry thinking someone slipped her something until they shared their first kiss and then, well she starts to rethink things. I loved Basil and Sherry. They had several great moments. It was just so much fun reading about these two.
It was fantastic for me as a fan of the series to see old favorites pop in. I just love seeing old characters in any storyline show up.
We finally and I mean finally get closer to Livius, one of the bad guys who has been wreaking havoc throughout several books. I’m glad that’s done, but we still have one more bad guy and all of Livius' sons to find, but part of this plot comes to a closer and I’m glad.
I did have some issues with the book.
- I didn't like how abruptly the ending was. We learn that Sherry’s paternal grandfather will show up and then the book ends.
- I also wasn’t too fond of how this book handles consent when we learn some very disturbing things about Sherry’s mother’s past and who her real father is. This was explained by Elvi, but how it was explained ya it makes some sense, but still, it’s rape in a form.
- I also felt that Basil and Sherry needed to talk more about the kids. Basil has had a kid every 100 years with a friend. This was just said and then they move on. I can understand where he's coming from, living so long, but still, it's a hard issue to tackle and I felt the author didn't tackle it. I wouldn't be able to move on from this very easily.
