About this audiobook
Jane Austen

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Pride and Prejudice is by far my favorite book written by Jane Austen. I have read all of her books and this one over more than twice. It is a well written, Persuasion is my other favorite. I love this author.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Karen Savage’s excellent reading of this classic work makes it a joy to hear! If she hasn’t been snatched up for a staff reader by Audible, or one of the other commercial audiobook publishers in the intervening fourteen years between when she made this recording, and today, September 4, 2021, when I heard it for the first time, it is a shortsighted ignorance on their part. She is a master of the craft, and deserves to be able to make a living at it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It’s so witty and interesting! I love Austen as a writer because she makes me feel smart, and she is really funny. Emma is next on my Austen reading list!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is a beautiful classic and needs no more comment. The reader was very well spoken I thoroughly enjoyed her reading.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The reader has a nice accent and voice so it was a good listen. In a few parts I slowed to 0.8x speed so I could better process the intense dialog, but overall liked her tempo
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Such a delightful reading, with proper accents, as far as this American can tell. I only wish Ms. Savage read a bit more slowly, so I could savor each sentence the more.
