About this audiobook

The twenty-first novel from New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey, a steamy thriller set in tropical Barbados

She is a woman of a thousand faces, an assassin who could be anyone, anywhere.

The Trinidad contract was supposed to be simple: to make a living man become a dead man. When the job goes bad under the watchful eye of a bank security camera, there is nowhere for agent MX-401, known as Reaper, to hide from the fearsome local warlords, the Laventille Killers.

Her employers, the Barbarians, send her to Barbados, the next island over, barely two hundred miles away, with the LK's in hot pursuit of the woman who took many of their own. With the scant protection of a dank safe house, no passport, and no access to funds, an island paradise becomes her prison.

While she trawls for low-profile assignments to keep her skills sharp and a few dollars in her pocket, Reaper discovers that family ties run deep, on both sides of the fight. Will the woman everyone wants, who has lived countless lives in the service of others, finally discover who she really is?

In A Wanted Woman, New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey delivers an adrenaline-pumping rush of a listen.

Reaper is all that and a bag of chips, I love a strong female, badass, wicked, smart female assassin who is about her business and the sex is secondary! Great plot, did not like the female reading in the beginning but got used to her being the Reaper now I don't think any other could do it better. As usual with Eric's writing, I can not wait for the next book in the Reaper series.

A Wanted Woman is a roller-coaster ride of heart-stopping, nerve-shattering non-stop exhilarating action as a female assassin is caught-up between two warring gangs in this deadly cat and mouse tale. As a deadly assassin for the Barbarians, MX-401 knows the rules – the contract must be completed at all costs. Yet a blotched job leaves her employer pissed at her, assigning her more reckless assignments making her more visible to the rival gang who is sparing any cost to find her. All of this chilling action takes place in the laid-back charming Caribbean where once again Dickey shows his amazing talents for detailed scene setting that provokes the imagery that you are right in the middle of things. Also known as a woman of thousand faces, MX-401 takes awhile to begin to reveal the complexities that makes the reader want to know more about her while other characters remain a little too one-dimensional, And yes, the steamy sex scenes are here but I found the brutally horrific scenes of torture and gang raping too detailed and uncomfortable.
