This is a tough one for me. I read HIM and HER back-to-back. I really liked HIM, as you saw if you read my review of it...
Then came this book.. Will's POV... I struggled through this book. It was a good book, please don't get me wrong! However, this book shows the reasons why I tend to shy away from books that are from another main character's POV. This book was exactly like HIM... You may be saying, Duh! Well, the thing is, I felt like I was reading the exact same book a second time. The separation between characters wasn't there for me. We do get a little bit of insight on some things from Will, but essentially is almost seemed like the same story, word for word.
Now, Will's thoughts that we did get were pretty good. They were on-spot. There just weren't many of them. Now, others may have loved this book. I just simply liked it.

Her was a delicious sequel to the first book in this series, Him. Listening to this book is like re-reading a favorite novel told from another characters perspective – genius! In the first book, Him, the love story between Sarah & Will is told from Sarah’s perspective. In Her, Will tells his side of the story. Missing pieces fit in. Questions are answered. And as a reader you can’t help but fall even more in love with Will (I know, if you just read the first book that doesn’t seem possible, but it is!)

Her is a beautiful wrap up of Him and is presented differently. This story starts in the past, builds to the present day and then continues past where Him finished off. For readers who always want to know “What happens next??” this book provides the answer! Being told from a guy’s perspective, this novel is more steamy than the first.

Definitely recommend listening to this one without others present ;)
Carey Heywood does an outstanding job writing Will’s perspective. In this novel we find out more aobut his mom, his relationship with Sarah’s family, and what happened in the seven years while Sarah was gone. We also learn about what happens going forward after they are forced back into contact at Brian’s wedding… it’s exciting!

Christian Fox brings Will to life with his narration. He is exactly how I imagined Will to sound. His narration is spot on and he is a pleasure to listen to. I’m going to keep an eye out for more of his audio books.

For anyone who enjoys romance novels, I highly recommend both books in this series.

Holy Moly this is one heart wrenching book. First all the feelings he has for Sarah when they are in school and to take so long to act on them is just torture to read. I'm half way through the book and things are going fabulously so I know something bad is coming and it does - Sarah just leaves seriously up and leaves with no explanation. When Will chases after her he just is in for more heart break. 7 years he is just existing it's hard to read because it's no way to live. When Sarah comes back he is determined to find out why she left. Through the whole second half I was waiting for the other shoe to drop - it was kind of tense yet wonderful how things progressed. Fantastic ending.
