About this audiobook

The bodies are found in towns and cities around Puget Sound. The young women who are the victims had nothing in common...except the agony of their final moments. But somebody carefully chose them to stalk, capture, and torture—a depraved killer whose cunning is matched only by the depth of his bloodlust. But the dying has only just begun. And the next victim will be the most shocking of all.

Pretty good, sometimes hard to keep up with the way it changes to a different, sometimes new, character from one sentence to the next. Good story overall, kept me listening and eager to find out what happens next.

Flawed plot, terrible writing and awful narration. Don't bother starting it unless you want to waste 11 hours of your life.

Heads up - this contains graphic material - it's a serial killer mystery, well written but oddly narrated. I would've enjoyed it more if the narrator hadn't tried to use different voice for each character. Also, the way the time jumps back and forth works better when reading a story, than listening to it.

OK writting drug down by poor narration. . . .

last few novels listened to prior were by Stephen King and John Grisham so tough acts to follow. The writing in this case seemed OK at best. What drug down my given rating was the narration. He has what I would say is a good voice as that of a good news reporter. Where it goes sour is when he tries to do different voices of characters. They came across as cartoonish for lack of a better word. Especially so with the women and children voices. Really makes you appreciate those with the tallent to do multiple voices were you instantly know which character is speaking.

Victim Six had a strong female character lead and I really like that. Everything wasn't put together from the very start, the police actually stumbled a bit trying to figure it all out. Some people complained of the killers point of view, however I haven't read many books with the killers point of view so I rather liked getting a new look at things.

A serial killer is terrorizing towns around Puget Sound. Kitsap County Sherriff’s Detective Kendall Stark begins the investigation and identifies the common threads linking these murders. Serenity Hutchins is a hungry young reporter intent on making her name on this story, but where is she getting her inside information?I really liked Kendall as a lead character. I’m glad that Olsen included some of her back story and home life, to give the reader a more rounded character. She is a really strong female lead character – smart, resilient, resourceful, intelligent and compassionate. I was less enthralled with Serenity. Though I think I understand some of her thought process, given her upbringing, I just can’t reconcile her behavior with that of a committed journalist. I’m struggling with how to describe my dissatisfaction with her as a character, because I don’t want to include any spoilers.Still, I could barely put it down. This is a tightly-written, fast-paced psychological thriller. It’s not for the faint of heart; it’s about a sexual sadist serial killer, and there are some very graphic scenes.

Hated the narration. Silly voices for women/children. Terrible accent for one character. Mispronunciations. Story was decent.
